Just wanted to shout out to any of you who still occasion  here.  I was feeling home sick for some old faces and the best support  team out there.  I bet Im not the only one who would like to see your smiling posts.   So how about a quick hello!  You are all missed around here.  And to all of you I want to say THANK YOU , for all you did to get me along this fantastic journey.  For picking me up when I fell,  pushing me along when I wanted to give up.  For supporting me in my silliness.  You ROCK.   Might we get a quick hello and let us know how you are doing????????????? PLEASE???????????

Sending some sunshine & hug for you Sue Bee ,  I'm just hanging around home today. Tomorrow I have a dr. appt, for girl issues, which I'm not looking forward to. Then I get to go to Disneyland, that I'm looking forward to.

Hi there chickadee!!

I just wanted to tell you hello.  Your post looked so lonely with only one response.  I didn't want you to think nobody wanted to answer.  I am a 2004 graduate.  I am doing just fine.  I got wayyyyy too skinny and wasn't very healthy, so I gained per the doc.  Well, I gained too much.  Now I am wearing some size 8's but mostly 10's and I feel like I am a big fat toad!!  Reality tells me I am not, but I still feel that way.  Life is good.  I have two very special people in my life (other than my boys, they are a given) and life is good.  I am still going to school to be a paralegal.  Not going to well on that end as I have gotten a bit of agoraphobia (spelling??).  I don't know where it cam from because I never had it before.  I am seeing a shrink to help me overcome it, but my grades are really suffering.  I will probably have to do this semester all over again, which will be a big bummer.

Anyway, I am glad that you are doing great!!  I miss seeing you, and everyone else too.  I just wish I lived closer.

Huge hugs to you!!!

im a 2006,, and I come here and read posts, way way more than I post. I still come here for answers to various questions that may come up for me since surgery.

Im doing good,,,, I have maintained my weight and now looking into plastics. I have occasional trouble with my iron levels and I dont ever drink enough water,, as much as I try I surely dont! ha.

Im riding and competing a lot with my horses and Im ever so grateful for this surgery and a second chance at life,, crap,, thankful for getting my life back!

Reading this post sort of made me feel guilty so Im going to try to be good and post more often,, but I do read, ,and I do care about each and every person who comes here.

We are all in this together and I have never in my life seen such a great support between people *****ally dont even know each other.

Marie

Thanks for the callout!  I'm a 2004 graduate and life's been busy with 2 girls under the age of 3 & working full time!  I credit my WLS with my girls as I was unable to concieve prior to surgery.  I'm up about 20lbs from goal but am working on getting the baby weight off.  So far I've lost 4lbs in the past few weeks.  Funny they never tell you how the further out you get the harder it is to loose weight.  I maintain just fine...but getting off the extra pounds is more work now than it was when I was a year out.  Anyway I'm feeling good...just busy with my girls & work.  Oh yeah...and did I mention school too?  I've gone back to school for my RN.

Hello all,
I'm a 2004 graduate as well. I'm up from my lowest too and not liking it. Some might be some muscle that came back, as I went too low. I looked pretty sickly at 150, (see photo on profile......) But I really liked the way I looked at 165. I am now 175-180 range and I'm working my way back down to 165. Isn't it weird that we get stuck on a number on a scale? I say that, cause I'm still fitting into most of my clothes. Not the size 8's of course, but the 10's and junior size 13's all fit. Soooo....why does that number bug me so much? Sigh....I think I still have the body dismorphic thingie going on. I feel fat and everyone tells me I look the same as I did at 165. Huh???
On a personal note, things are going well. Still single, not minding it so much. Still hanging out waiting for the right one to come along! Still working part time at a vitamin supplement store. All in all, life is good!
Thanks for the shout out. I lurk more these days, than post, but I'm here every morning. Everyone have a great day!
