Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

Happy Cinco de Mayo all!!!!   and a Good Tuesday morning to all of you!!!! 

I know our school is celebrating today...well at least the teachers are for sure....nothing planned for the students though. Of course any of you teachers can identify with this...if there is a reason for food...teachers will have it. There is a joke in our district...serve food and they will come!!! LOL

Tomorrow I have to do the dreaded teacher of the year/teacher appreciation day. I am wanting to hide out...wish I could take the day off, but that is not going to work either!

I took yesterday off and had my pre-op with Dr. Katzen....whew...I am so not looking forward to Friday!!! However, Jeff and I did got to Santa Monica Pier afterwards and had this super great time! The rides and stuff are all new, but I did not go on any of them. I am so not a ride person! We did go to the 3rd St. Promenade too and wandered around. Sat on the beach until it got really too cold for us....I am such a desert rat now and to think I use to live so close to the ocean. I said to Jeff do you miss the ocean and he said not really....thankfully we are only about 120 miles or so from there. Oh yeah and was even cooler....I found quite by accident a big Blicks art store. Well Jeff saw it first and said lets stop! OMG it was better than any candy/food store!!! I manage to spend some bucks in there and really excited to use some of the stuff!!! Bad place for my pocketbook there! LOL

Good Morning Janine..And the rest of you wonderful peeps...

Welcome to the twisted Tuesday..

I had a very busy few days. On Sunday, with the help of my nephews, I moved every thing out of the living/dinner room, and washed walls, dusted everything, twice, and vacuumed, so the room would be ready for me to shampoo the carpet on Monday. None of this was all that great for me shoulder. But the house is ready for the new stuff to come tomorrow. My nephews moved in the larges couch last night. I figures its light enough, that my two sisters can move it with out to much trouble. I can not wait to see the new stuff all set up when I get home from work tomorrow night. YAY!!

Nothing all that much happening with me. Life is just moving forward one step at time. Until this weekend, my shoulder was doing great. Very little pain and NO swelling. It might take a few days to get back there. This morning there is very little pain, but I can tell its very swollen.

Its back to work today, and tomorrow for me, so I guess I need to get moving here.

I wish you all a great Cinco De Mayo! Like Janine, and I am sure so many others, we are having a pot luck at work today. Should be great fun.

Good morning Janine and all my cali buds
I know - I am bad as I have been kinda MIA lately - Oh I hav ebeen reading some just not posting...what can I say, "bad Jean".  Anyway I have just been busy - trying to exercise more and and just not sitting at the computer much.  Oh and getting used to the whole dating thing.  Yes I am kind of dating someone so that is something really new for me.  Taking it really slow and easy but its fun.

Not alot going on with me otherwise....just hangin in there and maintaining my weight - good thing for sure. 

Now all of you working today - step away from those pot lucks.  OMG when I was working - there were pot lucks all the time...it was crazy...plus anytime there was a meeting or something there was always food.  I had a friend that used to say "geez, Pacificare spends more on food than anything"  well that was almost true.  But the pot lucks can definitely be deadly....glad I am not faced with that anymore...

So for me today is low key - talking a long walk up to the little farmers market and meeting a friend for breakfast.  Then tonight going to meet my "friend" for karaoke...and no I don't sing..I watch.  But Dave sings and has a super good voice. 

So thats it for me....everyone have a great day....

Jean I'm glad you are having a good time with Dave.  You make sure he treats you right or he's got a cofee mob that is fierce. hee hee hee.

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

Happy National Teacher's Day a day late to you and all of us educators.  My principal came on the horn 2 minutes before the end of the day to acknowledge it and tell the kids to thank your teachers.  Then says there will be coffee cake and coffee for you in the morning.  What a putz.  I did see that the kids get out early on the 29th and there is a teacher appreciation luncheon.  How about letting us go early?  I know you just can't please some folks.  My school is about 90% hispanic so there is lots going on for the kids.  I stay in my cubbie hole of a class though.  All those kids scare me, there is just too many of them.  3500 to 1 is just not good odds.  We have a stupid meeting after school UGH.
