Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!
on 5/4/09 11:12 pm
Well yesterday went fine, my sister in law went into labor so waiting to find out if our new nephew arrived yet or not. It is her first, I told her life as you know it has changed!! She is in denial!!
My staff I and are supposed to do a "Cinco" lunch but it may not happen. The place we are gong today is not the direction I though it was and no Mexican restaurant around it. Oh well we will live without Mexican food for lunch. Just nice to get away from the site during the day. We are cooped up in a conference room for the next three weeks-yikes!!
Have a great day.

Happy Cinco De Mayo to all. Nothing big planned at my house other than it is Taco Tuesday! The kids love that. Today I have a lic. worker coming to make sure I put up another fence. (long and stupid story) then I will just hang around and do my normal thing. Clean, Clean and then Clean somemore. I can't wait to see Lu's new furniture and I may have to take a drive down her way this week to check it out. I recovered from having my family here. It actually went well. I am so glad I don't live in Colorado because of all of the drama of my husband family. I love California. Well tonight I am going to a little party I think, I have not decided for sure or not. It is a grand opening of a new mortgage office that my freind works with, so free food and drinks etc. Not really my thing, but I shall see if I feel up to it later or not. I am not really the party girl I used to be. I am in a funk for some reason, so I need to shake that off quickly. I am going to try and get my foot exrayed today as I hurt it over a week ago and it is not getting better. So I will call the doctor and see if I can get in today. I hate going as they send you to another place to get an extray and then you have to wait there and then wait till the next day to get the results. Jean, no matter what I am going on this walk. I walked on this hurt foot 3 miles up hill right after I hurt it and I walked 6 miles on it on a little walk on Saturday, so no matter what I am not missing the walk. I will be there. You need to call me so we can arrange pick up times etc. I will need to leave my house like at 3:00 a.m. so maybe I can drive to you and then you can drive to LA? let me know what is going to work or I can drive to LA no matter. Or all of who are going can drive together, that would be better. Just let me know as I am ready to roll. Talk to you all soon.

So Saturday - Naomi and I are meeting at Lori's house and the 4 of us (Monica P is the 4th) will trek to LA and meet up with you there. I have no idea where to say we will meet - like the sign in table? But I have your cell number andyou have mine so we will rendevous by cell....I will talk to you before Sat....take care of that foot.....
Just a quickie . .. I'm off to Disneyland - and since I usually don't go during the week, I have no clue how bad traffic will be so I gotta get moving.
Janine - take it easy today . .. it will be a good day for you! All the rest of you - enjoy the day's festivities.
We had sad news at work yesterday . .. one of the IT kids who worked for our National group died in his sleep over the weekend. He wasn't even 30 years old. So sad. Then my other dear friend's brother passed away yesterday. Just goes to show you to enjoy your life always - and make sure your family and friends know how much your love them and care!
OK Mickey . . . hold onto your hat! Here I come! OH . . . I got my 3 Day shirts in the mail yesterday - so I can wear that to Disneyland - and carry my little cards with me in case anyone asks . . . I've only got about $500 left to get . . . so I'm doing great!
Hugs everyone!
Chris
Today is day 2 of my "marathon week" working both jobs. I am just looking forward to Saturday. It sure would be nice to have a M-F, 9-5 job...someday.
I'm subbing in Jr K all week...wow what a different bunch 4 year olds are. Yesterday, one girl told both of us teachers that Alex PICKED HIS NOSE WITH THE LIGHT SWITCH!!!! So I asked him if he did that, and he looked at me with this smile on his face and shook his head yes......wtf???!!! Today we're having burritos and nachos with the kids, but I ain't eatin' nothin' in that room!!!
Time to fasten the seat belts...............woo hoo~!!!!

Oh Janel, the booger story is toooo funny! I love kids that age, they are just so great and say the darmndest things (to quote Mr. Linkletter). When my Gary was in kindergarten, his teacher told me that she was listening to a group of kids that Gary was in. One of the kids, a pretty rotten little boy, was teasing one of the girls pretty badly and she was near tears. The little boy told the little girl that there was no Santa and that Santa was dead. This upset the girl terribly. Gary speaks up and tells the kids that it isn't Santa that is dead, it is ELVIS!! The teacher said she had such a hard time not cracking up, it was sooooo funny!
Enjoy your day of being with the little ones!
Hugs!!!!

The dreaded teacher of the year thing will go fine. You are so full of life (from what I see on the OH Board) and that is a big plus. Good luck on Friday.

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they
ALL exist very nicely in the same box.
