Good morning Cali

This surely is going to be a typeby because one I am hurting a lot and two....I am hurting a lot

I know I am nuts being up and typing right now, but I had to get off my backside for a bit.

Yesterday was tough coming home 2 hours after surgery and it tooks us about 3 hours or more many. I was in Hunnington Beach and the traffic sucked. I do know I slept almost all the way home until we hit Banning Jeff said and I had to have something to drink.

The operation....we will see when I get these bandages off how good the girls look....I am hoping and praying because a lot o you know what I have gone through.

I know I have always said that breast surgery was a piece of cake, but the last two I have had are wicked painful because I have to have the tissue or what tissus and stuff left has to be sewn to my ribs. I am upsided down anchor as doc cut me from above my belly button and one continious cut from armpit to armpit and down a ways on my sides. My right breast was not as bad and he did not need to do and anchor there, but my left one was the pits. The hernia was not as bad as he thought it was going to be which I am thankful for. Maybe now I will be able to project my voice better. I do not know anymore details than that as I saw him after surgery, but couldn't talk.

Jeff is amazed at how well I am doing, but for all people who are planning surgery....pain management is highly important. Don't wait to take them it helps so you do not get way intolerant and it also helps with healing.

So that is it...no shout out's because I am not up to it. I am going to go back to bed.

Every runner/walker....you are all in my thoughts today....3 OH members are walking in Laura's (the lady I did the mural for) today...well two today in opposite ends of the state and then  Chris is doing the 3 days walk soon!!! Oh those members...Rhonda and JenDenni!!! YOU all ROCK!!!

I sure hope you all have a wonderful day...enjoy the rays....and please lets hear it for all the mothers...dad-moms too! What is planned for your special day.

I know for me it is bedrest....my boys are making me breakfast in bed....how sweet it that!

One more thing....thank you a milion you guys for all the warm wishes for me to have an uneventul surgery. I did...it was pretty long though....but thank you thank you thank you!!!

I got all my camping supplies sorted, washed and packed last night and I just have to finish with stuff in the dryer - pick up some food and pack it all up . . . wahoo . . .

Meanwhile . .. my ear is driving me nuts this morning . .. it was ringing all night . . . and now seems blocked/plugged . . . something . . . so I'm going in to have it looked at today . . .it was the ear with the vertigo last time . . .and I don't want to be on mountain roads with a dizzy brain . . . dang . . .why now?????

My daughter gets off at 5 today, and we're supposed to go see Star Trek . . .I shouldn't age myself this way, but when the original series started, I was a junior in high school!

Good Morning Janine and Cali,

I have been MIA due to the new class from hell.  So glad to hear you are on the other side of your surgery and I pray that all is right with the world when your bandages come off.

As for mommmie's day, it won't be the day I planned as my aunt invited us to a gospel dinner and even though we told her we would let her know she bought the tickets.  I'm not sure this is the kind of thing that Jordyn is ready for and since it is Sunday evening when I would rather be home kicking back before work, I'm not thrilled.  But you do what the elders say like a good daughter.  I'll be glad when Jordyn is older and it's my turn to be acknowledge as a mom and not the child.  Okay can you tell I'm spoiled?  I did get a beautiful card from her dad and one from my co-teacher with a gift card.  Also the teacher's assiciation at school brought all of the moms hot cocoa and muffins yesterday.  I'm sure my mom will have something for me tomorrow too.  I will make the best of the day, just whiny because this class is a killer.  Okay back to the books I still have to take the quiz for this week and write a 4 page paper before tomorrow at 11pm.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Janine, what a treat to see you post this morning, you are such an inspiration and role model in determination and strength!  Many warm hugs (gently of course) and thoughts and prayers that each day bring an ease of pain and strength to you.

Last night's concert went very well, our Director was most pleased as was our audience.  I will try to get a link to the music as he publishes it on our website and you can hear it.  I have one more gig to do on May 22nd the college's graduation (not my hubbys, as I already played for his when he graduated from there 3 years ago) and then get about a month off and start preparing for Summer Pops band and July 4th which is so much fun.

Today is support group this morning and then I am taking my Step Mom, my Mother-in-Law, and my neighbor (who shares my birthday with me) out for tea at our local tea room.  This is a Mother's Day/Birthday gift for the girls!  Tomorrow shopping with my step mom.  So busy weekend, but so much fun.

Nancy, hope you're feeling better.  Chris get packing and I hope you have a great time in Yosemite and worry not about WWW, it's under control  LOL

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and that all the Mom's have a super duper Mother's Day.  And for those of us Mom's who aren't remembered for whatever reason, a warm hug and big thank you because we've paid our dues, did the best we knew how and we need to love ourselves and care and support each other!

I am off to the support group meeting today, bringing a friend with me. Then I think to the gym, then home to do laundry, so I can have clean uniforms for tomorrow. YEAH. I just love having one day off. NOT. So I am back to work tomorrow, and Monday. Have a fantastic weekend everyone.

Janine, it so good to know that you are home and on the mend. I do hope it's not to painful and that you won't have to go through this again.

Not much on the agenda today. the husband is playing race car driver at the track, then tonight we are going to the movies to see Ghosts of Girlfriends Past for Mother's Day/Our Anniversary (which is tomorrow also). Then tomorrow I am going to church in the morning and then we will probably got to Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside tomorrow night for a Mother's Day concert being put on by Aaron Shust. It was be a nice day indeed.

To the peoiple doing the Walks today, you ROCK! I still can't walk long distances yet because of my ankle, so it sux that I can't do the walks yet.

Well, Janine, Super Woman, what can I say??? You are just amazing...well, everyone else has said it before me....YOU ROCK!!  I so agree with you regarding staying on top of the pain. The docs expect you to take the meds...or they wouldn't give them to you ;-)  Gentle, loving hugs to you Lady  

Went to support group in Lodi today, took the long way home since we were on the scooters...great day for a ride!  it's already in the mid 80's.  Still paying the price for my screw up last nite; the 'balloon' hasn't completely gone away...so protein drinks today only LOL  Gotta go get gas for my car and the motorhome (going camping next weekend) and then I get to go Shopping!!! Cleaned out the last of the 3X's down to 1X...just can not believe that I have entered 'normal' sizes, pants size 16 and tops XL.  Some one please pinch me so I know I'm not dreaming!!

Barb, so happy to hear the concert went well (would have called you but I knew you were 'unavailable hee hee)...maybe we'll make the 4th's concert..that would be soooo cool!

Chris, enjoy Yosemite to the hilt!  I think I'm beginning to get jealous ROTFL  What a great place to go camping...sighhhhhhh ;-)

Not same Dawn...enjoy tomorrow! You've earned it!  Some day they will figure it out.

To the 'walkers'...   need I say more?? ^_^  At my support meeting today there happen to be 5 'walkers' for the Susan Koemann (sp) breast cancer walk...all wearing their T-Shirts proudly.

That's all who I can remember (what I read this week!)...but know that I value each and every one of you....you are the reason I am able to make my WLS a success story so far ^_^
