Wake up it's Monday Gang!!!
Okay I am up because?????????????? Fill in the blanks LOL
Happy Monday to all of you! I have in just a few short days actually lost track of time. Well really days!
I hope that all of you had a wonderful day. James who is my oldest son, got himself busy and cooked a delicious scrambler for me and it was actually the first solid food I could hold down. YAY!!!
You know I want to hear about your Mothers Day time!!!
I am not up to shouting out this morning. I would not have even gotten up if I was not hurting and need some pain pills. I actually slept about 5 hours without interruption. That is a good thing.
I am still in a lot of pain....and do not judge my pain if you are having reconstructive surgery because I had a complicated surgery on my breast and the tissue that is left is anchored to my ribs...that is killer. I still have pain in the rib area prior to this surgery too!
I wish I could tell you that I am pleased about the results, but I cannot until the bandages come off on the 18th. I hope I am not flat chested now either. It is a big worry to me. My dil could tell that those dog ears whatever things that hang over your bra are for sure gone and she can tell a difference!
I am seriouly swollen like a stuck pig...my fingers are like little sausages....my belly protrudes so much that I look like I am about 5 months pregnant...I hate it because I had a really flat stomach going into this surgery.
Oh and a word to the wise....my doc put me on these patches that help to keep you throwing up...well one of the side effects is your vision. It gets blurry. Yesterday I was going nuts not understanding my my vision rapidly diminished. Jeff read the label on the box and it said in big bold letters may cause blurry vision....like HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLO!! So I took it off and hopefully I am past the I need something so I will not be so nauseus.
Welll I think I am going to go back to bed.....please start posting about all the wonderful things you did this weekend!!

Hey atleast you can go to bed, I wish I could. I know you are sore and I hope it gets better. I am sure everything will be ok and hope you get the results you want. Oh well not awake so much this morning, better go drink more coffee.
Hope everyone has a good day. Be good to yourselves and those around you.

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations.
I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty,
believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

I hope all is well with everyone and all the Mom's had a wonderful day yesterday. I personally did nothing at all. I never got out of my jammas all day. I had breakfast lunch and dinner in bed. I caught up on all my shows. It was wonderful. I took about 3 naps to catch up on some missed sleep and that was wonderful. So I did exactly what I don't do everyday. Kids made me flower boxes and went to the 99 cent store and filled them full of flowers that will never ever die! They sure know their mom can't grow anything! lol. I got a beautiful bracelet made out of pipe cleaners and beads, it is adorable and the sweetest key chain that my son made that says mom. It was a great day for me doing absolutely nothing. I loved it. Today I am awake and ready to roll and get back into the swing of life. I hope you all had a wonderful day yesterday and I look forward to hearing all about it. You all take care and be good to you today.

WOW! I did not sleep very well last night or the night before. For some reason, I start itching when I go to bed. I changed the sheets on my bed last night at 1 to see if that would help. I took a shower, I would scare the heck out of anyone if they seen my hair, and even tried putting on a ton of lotion. Nothing worked. I was still up at 3 this morning. Or that was the last time I remember looking at the clock. My eyes are all swollen this morning like I have been crying for a week. If this happens again tonight, I will need to see a doctor. I thought maybe it was the soap that I washed the sheets in, that was why I changed my sheets. But since it didn't help, I guess it was not that. Its like someone put itching powered in my bed. OMG!!! its driving me nuts. But if you look at my skin, there is nothing there, nothing red or anything to show why/where its itching. UGH!
Nothing great to report to ya all, Just working. Oh joy!! So I guess I had better get into the shower and do something to tame this hair of mine.
I wish you all a great day. Be safe. Be smart.

Glad to hear you are on the mend and pray that your pain diminishes sooner than later. I had an okay Mommmie's Day. I got a collage of pics of jordyn from my mom. We made breakfast together and went to the mall for a bit. Then we had this disaster of a dinner that my aunt invited us to. But at least I got to see my cousin who was visiting from Arizona. We left early because 1 it was boring and very disorganized and 2 I had to come home and take this week's quiz.
Everyone enjoy the day

I know...I know...been MIA, but trying to do better. Working TONS...which is a good thing right. LOL! I made my call to my Mommy yesterday and she was telling me all about what she has been doing. She has been one busy woman. You think for a woman that spends most of her time in a wheelchair she'd be home more often...so not happening. Actually she just got approved for one of those motorized chairs so look out folks she's on the run.

Hope you heal fast Janine. I've been very bad on my diet/exercise routine for months...yes, gained weight and got flabby. However, I spent my Sunday rearranging my furniture in the livingroom so I could put my walker in front of the tele...cross your fingers it works. I am hoping I just need to exercise because according to my food log I'm actually doing pretty good in the protein vs carb arena. Yay!

Well, better run...construction crew should show up any moment and I need to be on site.
Take Care,

Are you sure this will work?

Terry

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!
We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they
ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Good Morning Janine and Cali-Gang!!!
Janine, I wish you the best on your recovery!!! You are soooo gonna look marvelous! (like you already do!) I hope the pain goes away for you real soon.
I had a great weekend. I did the Susan G Komen walk for breast cancer which was a blast! I wore a picture in Memory of Laura Lantero on my back, she's the lady that Janine did that fabulous mural for. People told me how beautiful she was.......
Yesterday we did Mother's Day in the park. It was really nice. I have 8 sisters and 2 brothers and so with all of their children it was a great big turn out. My Mother had a great time! My daughter's gave me the most beautiful red roses, a beautiful plant which I hope I do not kill....and a balloon. Tommy, my Grandson said he had a present for me that "would knock my socks off!" I love that little guy! Which was that he sang me "The Grandma Song" that he made up! so cute!!!
Anyway, the day left me feeling very Blessed to have the family that I have, and a very happy heart.
I hope you all have a great day. Sorry I have been MIA lately, just a lot of personal issues......but getting better! or maybe I am getting better at handling them! hehehehe

Got a bit of a sun kiss yesterday. A bit painful this morning but not too bad. What's bugging me the most is my siatica. OMG! Guess I"ll have to make a doctor appointment to get it all checked out. That beast hurts!
Janine, so glad you were finally able to keep something down in your little pouch. That is good, hope your pain starts subsiding a bit everyday. You are in our thoughts and Prayers. When you get to feeling better, we all will make a run to the OC Swap Meet. Can't keep a good person down. Woo Hoo!!! Take it easy my friend and God Bless You.
Had a great day with my kids and their significant others and my My Boyfriend. Dana Point El Torito, Brunch - My son gave me a string of pink flamingos and palm tree lights for the outside of our trailer to hang on the awning. My oldest daughter found a picture of the 3 kids in a strawberry field in Irvine, where we watched the El Toro Air Show, then put this last year Super Bowl picture of the 3 together in their Steeler yellow and black. My youngest one gave me a bunco game to play while we are camping. Of course, I was crying, because I am so emotional, it's the little things in life that I enjoy so much. I thank God everyday for my family and friends. They all pinched in for Josh Groban tickets at the Hollywood Bowl this June. That was a Mother and Father Day gift combined.
Hey, that works.
Hope everyone had a great day yesterday and have a great week ahead.
Gotta get my walking shoes on and get going here. Love to All.
Hugs & Love,

Karen
