Good Morning all of Cali and Janine too.

I sure hope you're healing up quickly...I just hate being down and out and know it can be so frustrating for even a little while..

I didn't sleep well either. Had a heated discussion with a friend's husband last night and it all kept coming back to my mind. I guess when you've been smacked around verbally and emotionally by your kid right before Mother's Day it tends to stick with you. I'm not chipper today...It's weighing heavy on my mind all the "heated discussions" I've had lately.

The one thing I can truly say today that is positive is this: "When you stop growing, you start dying." and that's the truth I'm going to live by this summer...I'm going to grow emotionally and mentally and LIVE...

Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!

Hello Janine and CA Friends!

Janine, I can so relate to constructive surgery pain....man, that was the worst of any of the 5 surgeries I've ever had. Of course the fact that while I was in Mexico for 2 weeks the meds were so weak made it ever worse. I remember one day when they went to give me a pain pill, I said, "Just give me a frickin' Tic Tac, I'll get the same results!' I finally broke down and took my Vicodin when the nurses weren't in my hotel room..then when I got home I was given Norco....man what a blessing that was!

Have a busy week ahead of me. Subbing and Starbucks. But, this week is a bit slower. It's been good teaching again, and I am seriously thinking about going back to my old school and teaching again. That's where I've been subbing and they are so glad to have me back helping them out, and I am so glad to be there again. We'll just have to see what happens there.

Have a great week!

Janel,

I was just curious, did you have your plastics done in Mexico? I heard that it is way cheaper than here in the U.S. How did it go or did you have any problems? Would you do it over there again. Sorry if I am being nosy, I am just too sad, the plastics here are way expensive.

Thanks,

Julie

Janine and Cali Crew -

Good morning.  Janine it's so good to see that you are somewhat up and about. Good for you. Hang in there and don't be shy about those pain meds.  Stay ahead of the game.

Not much new for me.  Just a usual Monday.  Hoping the new thyroid meds kick in soon.  I wake up tired these days.

Good Morning Cali Crew (It is still morning. right?) LOL
Well, Mother's Day was not all that fun for me. My 6 year old was up all the night before throwing up I literally had him in his 3rd shower at 4:30 a.m. So, church went out the windiw then mama started at around noon so the 2 of us spent all day yesterday in bed. No fun!! I feel stable today but very sore under the ribs. No fun after surgery that's for sure. One thing is it kept my mind of the fact it was the 1st Mother's Day since my mom passed. It bothered me all week but yesterday I was okay.

On a happy note I flew into onederland last week and looks like I may be landing into the 180's very soon. I am simply amazed. Hovered over 199 for weeks and now barely get a chance to enjoy the 190's. Not complaining though. So, that's my world for now a little good and a little bad.

Janine - I am so glad the surgery was uneventful. I can't believe you were already up and posting Saturday morning!! Wow, girl!! You are amazing. I sure hope the healing goes as smotthly. Just please be sure and take care of yourself.

Nikki - Surgery in your near future also. Good luck to you!!

Rhonda - Congratualtions on your 5K on Saturday!! Even with such a rough start. You are stronger than I. I may have thrown my hands in the air and said forget it after that start. Glad you made it and enjoyed yourself so. Can't wait to meet you!!

Lu - Sorry you are also lacking in the sleep department. What a pain! I sure hope you get to the bottom of the itching soon.

Monica - Glad you enjoyed the majority of your Mother's Day!! Hope you scored well on your quiz.

Jeni - Sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Congrats on the walk!! Your family sure sounds great, glad you enjoyed your day with them!!

Maureen - Glad you enjoyed the camping trip!! Sure sounds like fun was had by all. Sorry, you got a little sun kissed. I had that problem on Saturday but thanks to the sun at Stagecoach it wasn't as bad if it was the 1st sun of the season. Hope the sciatica feels better soon.

Karen - I love El Torito's!! Sound slike you had a nice day!! Enjoy that concert, I love Josh!!

Dawn - Sorry you had a rough weekend. I hate when the mind won't turn off especially running with negativity. I love the new mantra!! Keep with it!!!

Josie, Terry, Janel, Julie & Kim - Hope your Monday's off to a great start and that you have a great week ahead!!

Heather

Stagecoach????  I was there too!  Both Days and had a total blast!  I had a spray-on tan going so the sun kissing wasn't too bad.  Looking forward to next year!

Both boys called me for Mothers day...always good to hear from them.
My back is still giving me helloooooooo!! Grrrrrrrrr!!
Mom will be in her sling for just a few more days TG! Then she will be able to do a  little more for herself. There is too much of everything around here and just not enough of me. Oh well, like they say...one day at a time.

Good evening Janine and Cali Friends,

Janine, I am hoping and praying that everday gets better and better for you and that the 18th will reveal all that you are hoping for!

The weekend was so much fun, went way too fast.  Saturday I took my Step Mom, Mother-in-Law and my neighbor who shares my birthday with me to tea for Mother's Day/Birthday.  We managed to do a little shopping and enjoying the day together.

Yesterday, my Step Mom and I did a little more shopping and lunching, always fun!

This week is final preparations for my hubby's graduation which is a week from today.  We're going to surprise him with all wearing yellow shirts with blue writing on them.  His sister and brother in law will fly in from Canada and our friend Steve will be hosting a reception for him that evening.  The major party will be on June 6th.

That's all the news fitt to print!  Hope everyone hs a great week ahead.

Hugs,
Barb
