New to OH - I'm at week 19 of Kaiser Options
I only have 5 more weeks to go before my Options classes are over (yea!!!!) and I would like to hear from anyone who has gone to Pacific or Crown and what your experience has been. As of today I am leaning toward Pacific but I would love to hear how each clinic/doctors treats their patients. Thanks in advance for your help :)
BTW: I will be doing the RNY

Hi jean,
I also had Dr Zorn at Pacific Bariatric last year. Loved my surgeon and just saw him last week for my 6 month post op visit. I did my options classes thru Kaiser Baldwin Park in Covina, Ca. Graduated Jun 08 but had 3 make up classes toward the end, ugghh. It was terrible having to wait to get approved. I actually finished in Aug 08. Didnt have to wait too long. Hospital was great and 7th floor nurses were as sweet as can be. Congrats on your WLS and good luck!
I went through options in Fontana also I graduated Dec, 26 2008 had surgery on Feb. 23, 2009 I had the RNY through Pacific Bariatrics in San Diego ( Scripps Hospital) Dr. Rumsey was AWSOME!! My mom had surery there about 5 years ago with Dr. Tanaka, my sister had her sugery yesterday there with Dr. Rumsey, and her best friend had surgery there 2 weeks before me with Dr. Tanaka! lol Ya everybody I know has gone trough Kaiser and chose that group they are a "center of excellence" congrats your almost done with your classes! yay! lol
Just wanted to let you know that everybody I know who has gone there has been extremely happy and by the way the hospital isvery nice and the staff was AWSOME!!! GOOD LUCK
I went through the Kaiser Options program in Orange County and went with Pacific. They are a great bunch of doctors and the staff is great too! Go to my OH and you can read what I had to say about Dr. Z.
