Hi Janine and Cali,
Well my weekend surprise for my mom really was a surprise. While we were driving down south to San Bernardino I got a call saying my father was taken to the hospital. He fell at 5am in the front yard. The newspaper lady saw him and called 911. Turns out he broke his shoulder just below the joint. It is pretty bad and they would like to operate, but decided against it. He is diabetic and has COPD, both are not under control.
So the surprise was on me! I am still here and my mom left yesterday on a cruise they both were to go on. I stayed so she could go. She will be back on Friday, I have to leave on Thursday to get back to work. Boy it seems like my parents are becoming my children. It is the circle of life. Say a prayer he does OK this week, he is like a newborn can't do a thing for himself.
I have been stressed but have managed to stay on my diet so far, I hope I can stay strong.
