OT: Dana Point Tide Pools

Hey All!

Today I did my first shift as a Dana Point Tide Pool Docent. It's a great place to go and hang out, and of course see the tide pools! There are even caves on the far north side of the intertidal area. My next shift is on 5/31 from 9a-1p (but I think that's when all you cool kids are going to Disneyland!!!). Anyway, any weekend is a great time to head down there. If you're actually interested in going, send me a PM and I can send you the tide table.

I just posted some pictures on my profile - and I guess the full length picture of me can be considered my "almost 3 month" picture.

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and here's to an uneventful week ahead!

Paula

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Dang Paula you have realy trimmed down!!! I am happy for you!!

I have not been to the tide pools in years. Went when I was in college out at Half Moon Bay area....tide pools are awesome!

I do not know where Dana Point is because I am SoCal challenged. I would be interested in checking it out when I can get out more!!

Thanks Janine! I'm turning out to be a slow loser, but you know what? I'm thankful for any loss!!

The tide pools in Dana Point are awesome. Actually, anywhere you can get so close to the critters that live in the ocean is cool!

Ummm... let's see - Dana Point is south of Irvine, and about 15 minutes north of San Onofre (the nuclear power plant - also known as "the boobies" hee hee) on the 5. It's a beautiful town. If you ever want a tour of the area, hit me up! Also, Groove Daddy's band plays at the Swallows Inn in San Juan Capistrano sometimes, which is right next door to Dana Point. I keep meaning to go see them play, but something always comes up!
