Good Sunday Morning Cali

Good Morning all my little friends out here in OH'land!!!

I hope you are all enjoying a relaxing morning of sleeping in or whatever you do on Sunday's!!! And speaking of whatever you are doing....what are all doing today????

I was able to get out yesterday and see my doc who was doing consults in the desert here. Dr. Katzen was pleased with my progress and gave me a 2 week reprieve from having to go out to Beverly Hills.....YAY. I do not have any places that need to be drained. I have few stitches....mainly all on the inside....and I think I am going to like my new girls after they settle in.

Then much to my surprise he asked for me to stick around until he was done because he wanted to go see that mosiac mural I did. I was like what? I didn't even ask him myself....all I ever said to him way back when at the OH convention was I really wish you could see it. Well we spent about a half hour there....and just talked and he was genuinely interested in the process and the mural itself. I told him I felt honored that he would want to see it...and he said to me that it was his honor to come and see it. That really made me feel good that he would take his time for something like this. He also wants me to contact Cedar Sini to do some work there because he said they are always looking for people to do artwork there. He said he would give me a reference too.

So that is my story and I am sticking to it!!!!

BTW.....Rhonda you rock gf.....I am so proud of you for doing that 10K and showing what us former fat girls are made of....now if it had been me after I caught up and passed that woman....like I told you...I would have tried to farted and trailblazed her!!!! LOL

Good morning Janine and Cali Guys and Gals.

Thanks Janine for the love and support about the 10K  it was truely a blast.  LuLu went with me along with her two nephews and my husband.  They all had a blast.  They all did a great job and I was proud of all of them.  It was a tough one to say the least and not what I was expecting at all.  If it was not for the woman with the skinny butt I think I may have given up.  Well today I should get to work on my office/garage/gym area/playroom/everything area!  lo.  I been saying that for weeks, but I so enjoy skipping work and just playing.  But I should be a good girl and do my chores.  I will feel better later I am sure.  I am so looking forward to MOMO coming at the end of the month.  Everyone keep the date of 5/31/09 open for Disneyland.  We are taking an OH feild trip.  Everyone is invited and we all should have a grand time.  We plan on getting there when it opens and leaving it when it closes.  A good time for all I am sure.  I will put up a post when it gets closer to the time.  I just can't wait.  Well off to get those nasty chores done!  Everyone have a blessed day and do something nice for yourself today!

J - That is VERY Cool about Dr. Katzen. One, that you are healing well and especially about the mosaic. You should be very proud for sure.

Today we are going to do the usual weekend errands we didn't do yesterday and this afternoon we have wedding celebration party for some good freinds. Should be fun. DH is working of course but should be home by about 1pm.

We had a great day in the city, went to china town and fisherman's wharf.  It was very pleasant not too hot and the city was not too crowded.  We  walked all over so I got my exercise, pushing Vanessa in her stroller uphill-yikes!!  Our friends leave today, I think her son has decided on going to  Davis, so they will be back in August.

Janine, that is so awesome about the Mural, and that Dr. Katzen thought you were doing well.

It is going to be hot again today, so I am going to head out for a walk here in a bit. I did weights yesterday, so I only need to do cardio today. Later I am going to a baptism. I still need to clean the house. I never got to it yesterday. I went for a massage instead, and after that, I wasn't good for anything. LOL. I hope everyone has a great day.

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Janine, wow how cool is that.  There is truly a caring and compassionate Dr you have and one *****ally gets to know his patients.  He's a keeper for sure.  My PCP is that way, he is like an extended member of our family as he takes care of Ron and I and his folks and he has spent many an hour just talking.  Drs like that are hard to find anymore.

Yesterday we did a reconoiter to Cal to find out where we have to park tomorrow for the graduation.  We walked to some of the surrounding stores, and Ron bought some new Berkeley T-shirts for Hawaii including an alumni one.  We sure did have some fun.  It's going to be hot tomorrow so I bought a pink Cal hat.

It's been a scorcher here it was 101 yesterday and looks like today will be more of the same.

Janine, how neat that was for Dr. Katzen to want to see the mural.  I'm glad you are progressing well too!

Yesterday was a fun day spent with my oldest daughter.  We had an hour Swedish massage, followed by manicure, pedicure and then lunch.  I think I could really get used to having a massage...

Going to spend today, making some corn chowder.  Then off to see Star Trek and dinner!  Hope you all have a great Sunday!

Oh yes, and Rhonda, congrats on finishing the 10K!!!  Superwoman!!

Morning Janine and Cali crew! Getting ready to head to church and then work. Sorry I'm not here much anymore, just can't seem to find enough hours in a day!
Sorry to keep you hanging on my news too, haven't had time to post, but if you are on my Facebook you already know about it. It's the postponement of my surgery to June 30. Disappointed and it is a real pain with work, but I know it is in God's hands and there is a reason.

Hi there Janine and Cali!  Glad to hear you are doing great . . .and so cool of your doctor to see your work and recommend you for more work! 

Rhonda . . . how cool with the 10K . . . glad you did such a great job . . . keep it up!

Had a great time in Yosemite . . . was a fabulous week . . . but the neighborhood changed on Thursday night . . . it was like someone let all the trailor trash in . . . rudeness . . .noise . . . no consideration for other people . . . we were really happy we were leaving on Friday!

This morning was great for the Bridge walk . . . I was having dreams I'd be the last person and they would have to pick me up and drive me off . . . but not so . . . I was hoping for 1-1/2 hours (because of that steep incline in the front half) . . . and made it in 1:15 . . . was real happy!

I haven't had time to catch up yet  . . . have to upload my pics . . . and have to actually go to work tomorrow (bummer).

Can't wait for the 31st to do the Mouse . . . that will be great!

I'll probably be the last one to jump in here today but what the hey LOL  Been camping at Patterson (central Calif on I5) with carving buddies..what a fun trip.  Of course, we bugged out early this morning as it was suppose to reach 105! there and Sacramento was only going to be 101..soooo much cooler  LOL

Got the motorhome emptied and only have 1 more load of wash to finish up.  Did some carving club book work...finished just in time to realize my kitchen had been taken over by ANTS!!!  This hot weather had driven them inside to find water and food...guess ANTS aren't as stupid as we thought LOL

Before I go.....Janine Congrats on both fronts (oopsss, pardon the bun ^_^), your doctor being 'human'! and not afraid to act like it...what a deal!!! and on your recovery...you sound so much chipper ;-)

Barb!  Give Ron a big congratulatory hug from me for his graduation!  And I want to see that PINK hat in Hawaii!! LOL  Maybe it'll match the PINK  shorts I just bought....whaaa hooo!

Chris....fab u lous!! Lady!!  10K WOW  I am impressed,,,,especially it being the San Diego Bridge.  Way to go!

Rhonda....I'd beg you...I'd pay your way..I'd give you a place to stay....to clean my house...except I'd also be too embarrased for anyone to see it right now ROTFL
