FOOD ALLERGIES post RNY Gastric Bypass anyone?

Last week I bought some mixed nuts from my local Trader Ho's and well... I ate several brazil nuts and you know what happened... my hands started itching... almost burning... I got up and washed my hands several times and applied antibiotic ointment... still no help... then my feet began itching... then I though I picked-up something at my gym and then I jumped in the shower... then I broke out in hives all over and then my throat closed up as if there was an apple stuck... very weird...

I'll soon be tested for tree nut allergies... THIS IS A FIRST!!! I've never been allergic to any food in the past...

Have you suddenly developed a severe food allergy... enough for use of an EpiPen?

BTW: My male friends, love them dearly... had a host of jokes over my Brazilian nut allergy... as you can imagine...
