Hahahaha, see, I think I would loose my head if it were not attached.. LOL  I ment to tell you that..
\

LOL He is so silly..  He blind-folded me, dropped off the little one at a friends, and then took me there.. Where, I had NO CLUE, till we started walking (he was leading me and I still couldn't see) and I hear this guy say, can I have 2 tickets to Star Trek please.. LOL I imediately opened my eyes and hit him. I said, we too have gone to see a movie as a couple, you had me thinking of all really crazy/romantical places you were taking me.. He said "well I didn't completely lie, we have NEVER seen Star Trek as a couple before"..  What a goob...

I do have to say, it was a great movie.. I really enjoyed it, and the time spent snuggling with him at the movies. He then took me out to lunch, and we bought our friend some Pink Carnations for helping us with the baby.

All in all it was a great little date..

Hugs,
Jenn

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Janine, thanks for the awesome shout out and I hope you will get some much deserved R&R today.

The graduation couldn't have been any better!  We all surprised Ron with our t-shirts and so 9 of us were all sitting together in yellow with blue writing.  I saw him several times point us out and later he told me that he had said, see all those folks in the yellow shirts, that's my group!  We even had people we didn't know want to take a picture of us for our shirts!  LOL

He looked great and was SO proud.  I of course was crying and trying to operate his camera at the same time, not a good combination!  LOL

The weather at the Greek theater was wonderful, a little fog going sparsly over to keep the heat down but mostly sun, no wind.  A nicer graduating group of people, considerate and funny and no issues at all.  Great and funny speaker who happened to be a Prof of Physics!

Then we piled in the cars after pics and went to Steve's house for munchies and dinner which was so yummy,  We all just had the best day, and his folks were so proud as we all were.

So that's the day.  I will try to get pics up.

I am getting ready to go to work and Ron has to go take his sister and brother-in-law to the airport and my step mom home.  I so wished I would have taken the day off! I'm draggin' for sure.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Hugs,
Barb

Congratulate Ron from us....we are all very proud of him...it surely is not easy to go back to school at any age and he did a fine job!

Good  morning Janine and Cali,

I am so excited I will be having surgery in 2 weeks on the 1st.  I found out and it seems like the days have just flown by.  I am trying to get prepared, I have all my vitamins, gas ex, stool softener, protein powder, sugar free Popsicles, cream of wheat-what else should I have on hand?  It seems like everything happens at once.  I decided to take a small vacation after all, just off a couple of day after memorial day.  My daughter was disappointed we were not going to the "tel" that is what she calls a Hotel.

Were most of you alone after surgery, did you need someone there with you the first few days?  My mom was going to come up but now with my dad she is not able.  My husband may be home but not sure yet, he may be starting a new job the day after my surgery.  I am so amazed at how fast it is happening, it seems like just yesterday I made the call to my doctor for the referral.  I know you have all been through this so I figured you were the best people to ask.

Delores I was fine alone after my wls. I mean I was slow getting around and mostly rested....I did not have issues. If you have the lap like most of us did....you do not have to worry about big incisions. I mean you are going to be sore and stuff cuz they poked around inside of you....but if you are tough like most of us are...you should be fine! Although I do have to say...it would be nice to have someone there for you! Hope hubby can take a bit of time off.
