Good Tuesday Morning Cali
Morning Janine and Calif gang ^_^
Janine, my dear...thought you were gonna rest!!???? I read your wonderful update, expect that you have gone back to lay down..continue reading everyone's post...and there YOU are! Responding to every single one
LOL You are just amazing and so so careing....now take care of yourself! I know how boreing it can be to just do nothing...but you just gotta do it and let your body heal, Lady!
Today is gonna be super quiet...the 'boys' are out of the office today..TYL! It is so disruptive when my boss and our Director of Membership are both in...they have their agendas and Jenai and I have ours....and theirs just disrupt ours!!
And then the Boss wants to know why my priorities aren't completed..grrrrrrrrr. I am soooo looking forward to the upcoming 3day weekend...heading up to our 5th wheel at 1000 Trails outside of Marysville in the foothills. The weather is suppose to be superb..in the mid 80's..perfect for sitting outside carving and later going down to the lodge and get some billards playing in
Lon's granddaughter is back from vacation (she's 26 and is temporarily living with us) and sometime this week I need to sit down with her and discuss her 'future' :-( I agreed to 6mos and that is up June 1; don't necessarily want her to leave but there are a few issues that need to be addressed if she is to continue staying with us. She works but she is alot like my middle son...no ambition, no plans for 'tomorrow'...content to move from today to tomorrow to next week to next year..without any idea of where she is going. And I think she is also suffering from depression..but that is hard to tell...she stays in her room when she is home and hardly interacts with us at all. I know there are issues from her growing up in an orphanage before Lon's daughter adopted her (from China, she was 10), but it does make communicating difficult sometimes. Where is Lon in all this? Ha! He says: 'your house, your rules...you have to talk to her..I'll support what ever you say'...COWARD!!
LOL Is that the same as: 'yes dear, whatever you say, dear'????
Now, if only I could get him to think that mentality regarding the brand new Mercedes I really like ROTFL JK!
Well, I've vented enough..time to get to work. A special {{{HUG}}} to Josie; a huge
to Ron (Barb's guy LOL); a gentle {{hug}} to Nikki; and to everyone else...{{{{{HUGS}}}}} in general! Have a great day...be good to yourself...and and find something special to do just for YOU...YOU deserve it!

Good morning! You and Nikki are freaking me out with all this pain stuff- I just finally got over my last surgery and I go in next Thursday for the next- and final (hopefully) round of plastics. I'm REALLY not looking forward to more pain.
I haven't checked in in a while- I'm doing well, maintaining my weight and finally over the infection drama. My son turned 15 yesterday and my daughter and granddaughter are moving out tomorrow. I feel old!

Good Morning Janine! Great shout-out. Howdy Cali Crew! It's a back to work day for me after Vacation. Ahhhhh, to be independantly wealthy and not have to deal with this stuff!
Someone is gonna get smacked around here and I'm going to do the SMACKING! I trained my back-up / relief person on the new process to be used while I was away. My cell mate (who handles electric) tried to insert her spin on things and I shut her down (I do gas - have for the last 9 years -- I'm the "expert") Well, seems on Friday as soon as I was gone, she went ahead and changed the process. Now, I have to un-change it back to where it was before because she was looking short term and not long term. Her changes would have caused a major road block and problems down the line.
Making appointments for hubby with dermatologist, audiologist and cardiologist to get some of his health issues resolved.
New clothes on today. Feeling pretty special. Nails done tonight after work.
Off and running.................

Good Morning Janine and Cali Peeps!!
I know I've been a stranger and I apologize! Forgive me???
I hope everyone is having a good day today!! I'm sitting here at work wishing I was home laying in bed with an ice pack! My friends and I got a little too rambunctious on Sunday at a BBQ! I think I over did myself more than I thought. Plus it ended with a living room version of a moshpit at a Metallica concert! I'm waiting to get those pics!! Hahahah Anywho, through all the rough and wild festiviites I somehow hurt my neck and I'm sure it's the chair incident that caused it... chair with 3 women and 2 being overweight... uh yeah we went down hard and I was on the bottom under the dog pile! I think the connection with the soggy soaked earth jarred me up a bit! Crazyyyyyyyyy but fun times! Wahoo!
Okie, time to get to work!!
Hugs to all!!

Happy Tuesday, Cali Crew!!! Sorry didn't get a chance to jump on in the last few days but I am officially caughtup on al the posts and everyone's comings and goings.
Janine - Great shout out as always!! I don't know how you do it. I certainly hope you stick to rest today. You're healing and need to take it easy. I know it can be boring but in the long run taking care now will get you up and about a lot sooner.
Nikki - Sorry to hear about the pain. I have heard plastics are much worse than the initial WLS. And I am sure what your seeing is just the swelling. You'll look great once everything goes down and settle as it should.
Dolores - Congratulations!! Your date is right around the corner. I know you'll do awesome seeing as how well you've done leading up to the surgery. As for needing help, I'm sure you'll be fine. Just take it easy and get your rest. Although having hubby there would make it easier.
Chris - So glad you enjoyed your vacation. I have never been to Yosemite but would love to make it up there soon. And congratulations on your bridge walk. That's awesome.
Rhonda - I am so sorry I missed you guys last night!! I really wanted to make it to coffee but my oldest son had orientation at McDonald's for his new job. It was supposed to be today but they changed it at the last minute. I promise soon!! Hope you get some sleep soon. We can't fire on all cylinders with no sleep and with all those kiddos you need to be on your game. Have you ever tried valerian root? I swear by it. Works much better for me than any prescribed sleep aid and I wake up refreshed not groggy. You can get it almost anywhere they sell supplements.
Jean - I love hearing how great things are going with Dave. Congratulations he sound slike a really great guy!!
Michelle - Goddness I don't know how much I'd get done if I attempted to work at home. My 6 year old is pretty needy when I'm around. Always needing to know what I'm doing and can he help, climbing on me. He's always been that way. When I went back to work just after he turned 1 he carried around my satin nighty everywhere. In fact we ended up cutting them into pieces and he carried them up until he was 4. It was so embarassing to go out in public. And of course his favorite 2 were floral print in purple and teal. LOL!! It's good to be the center of someone's world isn't it?
Monica - I know the kids hate testing but it must be nice for the teachers to get somewhat of a break from the daily grind. Enjoy that free time.
Josie - So sorry to hear of your loss. I am very close to my aunts especially since my mother's passing and can't imagine losing either of them. ((((((HUGS)))))) to you!!
Jenn - Funny how different a man's idea of romance is compared to a woman's. I am glad you enjoyed your time with hubby. It's so important to make your relationship a priority and not get lost in the everyday rush of kids and work and responsibilities. Good for you!!!
Barb - So glad the graduation was enjoyed by all. You must be so proud. That is quite an accomplishment. I love the shirts idea and can't wait to see the pics. Ron must have sure felt special seeing you all out there in your yellow.
Lisa - Sorry to hear things are still difficult. I know everything will turn out for the best whether that is a reconciliation or a fresh start. Keep your head up and take care of you!!
Stacie - I sure hope your boss gives your daughter a shot. I worked with my mom for the majority of the last 17 years. And it really made us so close. Although now without her it's difficult. Her office is across from mine sitting empty and somedays it's pretty rough. I hope it works out. And remember the grass isn't always greener. When I first came back to my company I regretted it felt I wasn't respected or appreciated as I had been. Until I found out my previous company went under. I would have missed my shot to come back here and been unemployed. Just my experience.
Dawn - Enjoy the support group meetings. I love going to ours also. It helps to know we're not the only one.
Terry - Hope you have a great day!!
Karen - Sending prayers and good thoughts your way the "C" word is not something anyone wants to hear in their lifetime. Great attitude though, live life to the fullest!!! I hope everything turns out just fine. Enjoy San Clemente, I love it there!!
Naomi - The spa day with your daughter sounds amazing. One thing I'll always miss not having a duaghter. But, maybe like Janine I'll get a granddaughter to enjoy the girly stuff with. Hope you have a great day!!
Nancy - I work in construction and know exactly what you mean about "the boys". It is so nice when they're out. They can be so needy. Not to mention they act like a bunch of children a lot of the time. Practical jokes constantly. Yesterday it was with pickles. When I came back from surgery they had toilet papered my office. Can't get nearly enough done when they're here. Hope today goes great!! And I hope everything works out for your step-granddaughter. She's lucky to have you guys there for her.
Maureen - No fun having to fix problems others have caused. Glad you caught it before it did cause any major problems. Enjoy your pampering tonight.
Okay I better get back to the grind here. Lots of bids going today, office is quiet but lots to do!! Hope everyone had a really great day!!!
TTYL!!

Good Morning Everyone,
I promise that I will take some great pics of Alaska.
Janine-thanks for the shout out. It amazes me how you remember all of the details. Take it easy and go to Nordstroms for your bras. They are more expensive there but the sales clerk will come into the room with you and adjust the bras for you.
I am 95% packed for my trip. Yesterday I went to the dr. for my plantar facitis and my IT band. I really have to start doing the exersises that they prescribed for me if I want to run again. I have just been lazy. After my doctor's appt., I went to the cleaners to drop off a dress that I am going to take on the cruise. After that, I went to Ross to find some black jeans. I had found some, but they were 14P. A little too short and I could not deal with the "14".
Anyway, that is my story and sticking to it.
More love & peace,
Kim
