MoMo....need to give you a heads up!! The Sacramento Jazz Festival is starting today....and most of it is in Old Town, the same place the Railroad Museum is!! You won't be able to park your car in Old Town...will have to try to get into the parking gargage or park out on the streets of town and walk in. The place is gonna be jammed packed with PEOPLE :-( And I think you have to PAY to get into Old Town because the bands play out on the streets. I have friends who attend the whole weekend and just have a ball; for me, I head out of town for the foothills LOL
Just thought you might like to know what you'll be running into this weekend. ^_^

Have fun in Old Town Sac, Ron and I love the Jazz Festival but haven't been since they moved it out of Cal Expo. We like the Old Sac venues but it's too crowded but the music is the best.

Janine Congratulations!! You looked so beautiful and I am so happy for you! Well gang Philosophy is over...WOW! I am over the moon with excitement!! I think I did pretty good on the final, I may end up with a B in the class, but worst case scenerio I will have a C. Which would not disappoint me too much considering I usually get A's in my classes. Yes, I am one of those students who does all the extra credit and tries to do my very best. So, what is done is done and Philosophy is over. This is going to be a fun weekend. I hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial Day Weekend.

Janine...only 2 weeks post surgery! You look absolutely Wonderful! And for all your nervousness and anxiety over the ceremonies, your smile says it all! You deserve to be so PROUD of yourself...never mind the politics or popularity contest issues...YOU are a phenomenal teacher...so caring and engaged with your students.

Unfortunately, you are right...the next couple of weeks with the kids suffering from 'summeritis' is going to drive you crazy LOL

Actually we are not going TO the jazz festival...we are running AWAY from it! This town just gets too noisy, too loud, too crazy! with all the out of towners who show up ( NOT you Momo!!!). The freeways and restaurants are crowded enough with just Sacto people...add another 100,000 or so...and you can barely move anywhere! We head out to the foothills, between Oregon House, Dobbins and Brownsville...northeast of Marysville. 1000 Trails has a beautiful park up there and we lease a spot and leave our 5th wheel on site. No messing with having to tow, hook up or take down. Just drive up, open the doors, turn the lights on and RELAX!

Lon brought me to work so he could load up the car and then at 4pm we head out of Dodge. We can really use the time by ourselves; since granddaughter returned from vacation, home has been a bit 'tense'...surely not as relaxed as when she was gone. Gonna have to deal with it when I get home on Monday :-(

Anyway, I've managed to not work for the first hour and a half that I've been here; guess maybe I should get something accomplished today LOL Everyone be safe and sane this weekend...watch out for the idiots and the drunk drivers. Let's hope the CHP and all law enforcement are on their toes this weekend keeping our streets and freeways SAFE! And most of all....remember WHY we have this holiday...remember the VETS!

UPDATE! Due to a wonderful Heads Up from Nancy aka SunRay................ Sacramento Railroad Museum is OUT! Too much of a pain in the butt! So, the boys and I are headed to............. MarineWorld!!!! Roller coasters, animals, fun, and sun! Yay!

I'm so excited to be a part of the TGIF and be able to mean it along with you guys. lol Usually it is my Monday, but I traded with a girl to help her out and the benefit for me is a Fri/Sat off, woo hoo!!!! No 3 day weekend for me, but I will take Fri/Sat and be happy. I know we will be SUPER busy when I return for the rest of the holiday weekend = CRAZY CASINO!!

Janine, you look mahvelous, as always, and you just accept that award because you deserve too, no matter how it is all decided. We all know WHY you got it and DESERVE it!!!!! Your students are blessed to have you as a part of thier school life!!!!

Thanks for the shout out Janine, and the 2 year surgiversary well wishes everyone!!! As for the surgery change, it is bittersweet, as today should have been my day, but that is ok. The upswing is I AM GOING TO DISNEYLAND with the girls next Sunday!!!! I wasn't going to get to go postop obviously! I know it is all going to be for the best and the 30th will be here before I know it!

Hello Janine and my fellow Cali Peeps!!!

Today is my last day at work for a whole WEEK!!! I'm so excited! I can't believe I get to go on VACATION!!!! I'm soooooooooooooo looking forward to not having to get up at the booty crack of dawn for an entire 4 days!!! I work M-F at a bank so next week will be T-F!! Talk about a HUGE sigh of relief!! I will be in Oregon from Sunday until Friday and will have no computer to get to... my Grandmother couldn't even tell you how to turn one on!! LOL I love her!! So, this will be my last post until I return home to say good morning and so forth to you all!

I'll miss the boards and my friends and if I am able to return on Friday I can't wait to meet those who are attending the Lunch Date in San Jose next Saturday!!
