Can I ask a HUGE favor?

I was hoping that you all would humor me with my request.  Here it is:

My oldest son, Dustin, leaves on Monday for his new life with the United States Air Force.  He will be stationed for Basic Training at Lackland AFB, Texas.

I thought it would be really cool if he got a lot of send offs sooooo I was wondering if you all could drop him a text wishing him good luck.  I would so appreciate it.  I am so dang proud of him and the choices he has made.  I have been truly fortunate with my children and am grateful for that.

Anyway, we have Verizon so if you have Verizon, it does not cost anything.  If you have other carriers, it would depend on your plan.

Thank you so much in advance for your well wishes to him.  We are all very lucky for Dustin and the other young men like him who are willing to serve their country, especially in this time of turmoil and strife all over the world.

His phone number is 1-805-610-7083.

Thanks sooooo much!!!!

P.S.  As he is the typical teenanger, he texts all day long so I thought that would mean more than e-mailing him, which he doesn't often check.

Jullie - you must be so proud!  My son was to graduate from there 5 days after 9-11 .  . . and there couldn't have been even 8 other people on the plane on the way to San Antonio besides my daughter, his girlfriend and me.  And THEN . . . they weren't sure if they were going to let anyone on base because of security.  They cancelled the graduation the week before.  We did get on/in . . . and it was most impressive . . . you have a right to be so proud!

Done deal sweetie, you deserve to be so proud!!! My prayers are with Dusty and you for the nerves I know you will have!!!!

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you on the PM you sent. One of the doctors or the OR had an issue with that date for the whole 6 hours, so it had to be rescheduled and then rescheduled again, leaving me hanging for 2 weeks. My work wasn't too thrilled, but what can I do.
Everything is fine, just waiting a bit longer. Thanks for the PM sweetie!!!  love you and bigg huggs, Bec

Hi Jillie!! I have Verizon, but our phone service is suspended due to finances. Please tell Dustin that he has our thanx for his serving our country. Way to go!! My dad was Air Force and served during the Korean War.

done.  I couldn't be more grateful.....I concur with everyone else. You have a right to be proud.  Your son made a difficult decision.  Be proud of yourself too.  You supported your son  and his choices when your  mamabear heart might have said "oh, no..anything but that."

That  little text is on its way!

Hugs to you and him.........GO AIR FORCE!!

I'd love to send him a text. I do not have Verizon though. I have unlimited texting, but don't want him to have to pay for my text. So, does he have unlimited texting so I won't fell guilty about sending him my well wishes?
