Good Saturday Morning Gang

Up down, up down...that is the story of my life! You said sleep....overrated LOL....So Good Morning to all of you and I envy those who are sleeping in!

I unexpectedly had a sleepover with my granddaughter, Ava only because I wanted her to. She is still sleeping....ah youth! She was in a hillarious dingbat mood last night and was very happy to be able to interact with me. She loves my iPhone and we sat in my bed watching YouTube stuff and having a grand ole time...she stayed up until 9:30 and when Jeff put her in her bed...I honestly do not think her eyes where open when her head hit the pillow...she took her fuzzy blankie and her Dr.Suess doll and was gone to the world! Who said Dr.Suess was only responsible for millions of young readers? LOL

Today I hope to have lots of fun with her with the help of Jeff because I cannot lift her. She accidently smacked into the girls last night which brought me to tears...I am not ready for full on grandma duties yet!!! We are taking her to breakfast and a visit to the park before mom picks her up in the afternoon when she gets off work.

I have to tell you...if any of you here are into ballet or had dreams of being a ballerina when you were a young girl....if you can see the documentary called "Ballerina" go see it. It follows 5 Russian ballerina's, two of whom are prima's was an excellent documentary. It was nominated at several film festivals. In the documentary on the wall behind someone who was speaking had the same Ana Pavalova billboard poster that my father gave me when I was a young girl. I do not know about the one they have, but my is an original billboard poster worth a lot of money of her in her Swan Lake costume. I was dumbfound when I saw that in the documentary. Ana Pavalova was one of the original prima ballerina's of the 20th century.

I know I am babbling sort of....a lot of you are probably out of town this week and I know that some of you have lots of plans for the holiday week. Some just are going to hang around the house and just kick it for the weekend for some much deserved rest....you all earned whatever you are doing this weekend....okay except chores and work okay? Do try and find some time to have some "you" for sure and take care of yourselves. Drink plenty of water and do not forget that ever important sun screen!!!

Good morning Janine and Calif friends,

I've been up for a couple hours...boy, I sure don't sleep much these days...but I sure do get a lot done in a 20 hour day!!!  haha!!!

Today is my big day of cleaning out the garage....I told my DH I am going to make a get rid of pile, a throw pile, and a keep pile.   Then the keep pile I am going to go through again and look at everything...like if I was going to die tomorrow what would my girls want...so that pile show be very small....lol

And, if I can get the garage done today, then tomorrow I want to take the grandkids to the LA Union Station...because there is a train tour...Christmas Caroll Train Tour...and it is all free....

I'm so jealous! I want a little granddaughter but ... it's not going to be. Maybe I should volunteer at a day care or something. My son isn't even "into" girls. LOL. He's our only hope.

This weekend will be a bit nutty. We got Cocoa's shots Thursday night specifically so we could get her shaved this weekend. She's a Colie/Australian Shepherd as near as we can figure and she's about 4 years old..never been shaved or bathed so she's a mess. The local lady won't even do it. The lady is too old and Cocoa is too big. So it's Petsmart for a couple of times and I'll have to bathe her myself a couple of times till she's used to the process. But with summer coming, she needs to lose the hair so we can SEE the stickers. She's so fat but you can't tell she's fat for all the hair..then we need to put her on a diet. dh mentioned RNY for dogs...now that would be nice if we could get insurance to cover it. LOL.

We want to drive to Ventura sometime this weekend..and maybe go to a movie but we never count our chickens cuz something always comes up, like a really nice long nap. Then nothing gets done.

Morning Janine and Cali!  Happy weekend to all!  You sure are a great granny Janine . . . I wanna be a granny than can spoil the kids for awhile and then send them home!  Yesterday when I got home, Myles took my hand, sat me in my chair, put a blankey on me, and then proceeded to brush my hair . . . to be joined by Myla on the other side doing the same thing.  Bottom line . . . I fell asleep with the pampering . . . and just work up (still in my chair) about 15 minutes ago.  I LOVE sleeping in my chair and don't do it because of all the noise . . . but I was zonked . . . and slept through everything last night.  Woke up with my cat in my lap . . . and everyone is still asleep right now.  Peace!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Friends,

Janine, sounds like you had a great time with Ava, all except the hitting the "girls" episode!  I so miss my grandbabies, but have to live vicarioulsy through others grandkids until my daughter's get rid of their selfish attitudes.  Oh well, enough of that!

Played at Graduation for Diablo Valley College last night, man was it COLD brrr.  I had two long sleeve black sweaters on and I was still cold.  Thank goodness Ron stopped at Starbucks for me, I had a skinny latte and was warm in no time!  Love that man of mine!

Today I'm not too sure what we're doing this morning but this afternoon we're heading to San Jose for a get together with some of my cousins.  They don't have a clue about my surgery so they will be surprised to see me. 

Tomorrow I hope to get our vege garden in, but we'll see if Ron's up to "pushing the blister stick" as he calls it.  That's a shovel in english.  LOL  He won't let me do it, I get to plant the stuff!

I am doing laundry, drinking my coffee and going to read the paper. Ah, gotta love the weekend.

Good Morning All!  Yesterday's trip to go pick up Jayden was a looooong one!  "There was an accident right at Wiskeytown Lake.  It was a bad one and it took me an hour and a half to get through a stretch that normallly takes 15 minutes.  It was bad.

Got back and picked up Tyler and Logan and had sleep-overs last night.  Today we are going to go to Wal-Mart and buy a tent, set it up and tonight they're "camping" out.  We're going to do smoores, and make home-made camping flash-lights.and just have a blast.  We're also going out to the lake.

We;re just hanging out and having fun!  Oh, and somewhere there's a movie in our future.

Glad to see you are all doing well. I have been MIA for a while, my computer has crashed and can't afford to buy another right now.  So
when my son is not on his laptop, I try to grab it and use it for a bit. Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day weekend, mine will be a busy one.  My son Jeremy is graduating from Cal State Fullerton on Sunday and then we are having a party for him. I am very proud of him. He started college about 8 yrs. ago when he weighed almost 500 lbs. He got so he could not fit in the desks there, so he quit, he tried some online classes, but that didn't last either.  He was so discouraged. Then, 5 years ago he had WLS with Dr. Ali at FV, and his whole life changed.
He is now engaged to a beautiful young woman named Betina, Graduating from college and will hopefully be teaching within a year. Love that guy.

Janine, your story about your granddaughter reminded me of my niece, when she was little. We had so much fun together, the things that she would say and do would just crack me up. She is now 17, and I don't get to see her as much as I would like. I live to far away. Oh well. My choice.

I don't have a lot planned for the weekend. I am hitting the gym, have house work to do, and laundry, so I have clean uniforms for Monday. I also need to hit the thrift store, I have run out of things to wear. I have one pair of jeans and that is it. Not that I am complaining. I just want to be lazy today. My legs and feet are still sore from work. We weren't crazy busy, but I didn't seem to sit down much on Thursday or Friday.

Janine, glad Ava was able to spend the night, those Grandchildren bring so much happiness. Sorry, about the knocking of the girls. Mine hurt on a normal bump, so I can imagine when you just had the procedure you had. OUCH!!!
My Honey and I camping at San Clemente and the sun has not come out yet today. Sitting with sweats,ughs and a sweater, but hey I am glad to be here. Enjoying it all.

Hey there Cali crew and Janine,
Yesterday, I took off, I wasn't feeling well nor as my Lily dog...Rat Dog she wasn't acting right and started vomiting blood, so she is now in the hospital. I can't get her home until Tuesday at the earliest



I know I have been MIA the past week or so...things have been very busy around here. Handy Kid and I managed to drag the 7X7 foot hot tub out of "The Room" and then I postedit in Freecycle and with in 2 minutes it was claimed!!!That was Monday and Thursday they came and picked it up!!! There are 4 walls on "TheRoom" now and all most all the outside is finished. Next comes the interior....remove old carpet, hang drywall,tape,texture,paint and stain cement floors.
I have designed my own bed frame with head and foot boards, can't wait to get started on it but will have to until I get back from my NV / AZ trip.
Need to make a serious trip to the dump too.So,I mopped floors instead...I hate goingt o the dump.
