GOOD THURSDAY MORNING CALI!!!!!!!!
Hey Everyone and Joy..
Sorry I have not been around much lately, things here are just NON-STOP.. LOL I don't seem to find enough hours in the day..
I was so excited... Yesterday morning I got up and weighed myself, I hit 199, but a couple hours later when I found the camera to document it, I went back up to 201.. LOL Go figure.. So now I am staying there and not budging again, but SOON, very soon I will be in wonderland.. YEA!
Joy I have missed you too hun, and am sorry things have been crazy. I think of you all the time, and miss ya like crazy. Are you going to go to the lunch in San Jose, or the one next month in Pleasant Hill? I would love to see ya again..
As for me, I went to one of my kids performances at school, then to Karate with the DH, and then a little bit of shopping (mainly walking around) this morning.
Later, I am going to be cooking a nice home-made meal tonight with lots of fresh fruits and veges. MMMM Can't wait. Other than that, I will try and run a bit on the treadmill and take a nice HOT bath tonight.
Hope you all have had and continue to have a great Thirsty Thursday.. Drink Drink Drink...
Hugs,
Jenn

Jenn, Miss you too, Congratulations on Onederland...even if it did hold there for long.LOL I have had that happen as well. I won't be at any of the June gatherings, I have just too much on my plate in June. And I am not sure about July. We'll see.My youngest second youngest Grandson is coming home with me when I return from the oldest ones Graduation and will be here for a week. He and I are going to SF to see the play Wicked. He has never been there. I am really looking forward to spending sometime with him. He will be here for a week and then a week with his Aunt. I will be leaving here on the 10th and getting home on the 19th. I'm spending 2-3 days in Henderson and then heading to AZ to see BF...She doesn't know I am coming...I want to surprise her for her 50th birthday.

Hello All,
This is my first post. I've been lurking a while but today I found out I was approved by my insurance and I am scheduled for RNY next Friday! YEAH! So I thought I should jump in and say hello.
I am both excited and nervous, still concerned about being able to take in all the liquid required and changing my habits so drastically. I have struggled with my weight for over 30 years and do feel this is the right decision for me. I have my pre-surgery class on Monday so I hope I will learn a lot more at the meeting. Are there certain items I should have at home for the first two weeks? Is there a list?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. I am having the surgery at Torrance Memorial in Torrance CA. I went through numerous tests and had to take two support group classes and a nutrition class. It seems I am good to go.
I have enjoyed snooping around the CALI posts. You are all very encouraging and supportive and hope to add my thoughts as time permits. Thanks for giving me hope for the future (even if you didn't know I was there!)

Thanks for all your kind words of support. I have to tell you that the approval and surgery date came so fast I am still kinda in shock. This weekend I'll go shopping to stock up on things I'll need. I found that I like the protein shots that are sold at Costco so those should work for the first two weeks. I did not like the Isopure but I think I should try it again diluted. Does anyone know if I can have coffeemate in my coffee in the first two weeks?
I also find that I am really bad at getting my exercise in. It seems I have every excuse in the book. Even walking...my biggest fear is that my lack of exercise will really hurt my weight loss. Anyway, just venting. Have a good weekend. Andrea
