Howdy,

My seemingly endless search for a surgeon who will work with my insurance co. has lead me to Dr. Q.   I have not met w/ him yet...I have an appt. on 6/9/09.  I would like to hear of your experience with him especially if you have a sleeve and partiularly if you were a band to sleeve revision.

thanks

Hi,

I did not have the band, but the RNY done by Dr. Q.  He is a very competent, capable surgeon.  He is not warm and fuzzy, but he does have a dry sense of humor.  His assistant, Dr. Braverman, is a little more personable, but all that aside, both are excellent surgeons.  I received very good care from them.  I would go back to either one of them in an instant.  In fact, they took out my gallbladder when I started having problems with them.  The aftercare and lifestyle management program is excellent as well.

Thanks Naomi,

I'll take competent over warm and fuzzy any day.

Hi,  I had my RNY with Dr. Q (primary) and Dr. Braverman, I recommend them both.  Their entire office staff is fantastic to work with.  I attend the Tuesday night lifestyle management classes and their are several post-op sleeve patients their.  All doing great.

Wishing you the best.
Robin

Hi Robin,

I had Dr. Q about ten years ago for an emergency appendectomy and not only was he knew to the hospital he was H-O-T!  LOL...My surgery went fine and he was extremely nice and professional.
