Happy TGIF Gang!

Happy TGIF Everyone!!!! I said to Jeff last night...what day is it? Okay now I know I have been off over 3 weeks now and today marks the 3 week mark since surgery, but gosh have I lost track of time! I know stop complaining! On a good note...I actually slept until a while ago. Miracles do happen eh?

Yesterday I went down to my school for a while to help my sub understand the electronic grade book. I was really happy to see some of my students as they were me. The staff that I did see were equally happy to see me. This is also marks the 1st time I have missed Honors Desert. I feel bad in a way, but it would have been too much for me to go last night. It is a yearly event where the 8th grades who have stayed on honor roll all 3 years at our school get recognized by a big ta-do at one of the country clubs. Usually about 45 kids or so. It is kind of neat!

I am hoping to make the promotion dance. It really all depends on how I feel because it is a lot of standing in shoes that are not comfortable. Plus it would depend on what fits. I am definitely planning on graduation on the 11th. I cannot miss that for sure!

I know today brings the Mo Mo to the southland. I know a lot of you are going to meet her and some other OH'ers for a fun filled weekend orchestrated by the Rhonda! It is going to be fun...so all of you who are contemplating...go out there and have some fun!

BTW....Scott in AZ in doing good. He called and left a super groggy message on my phone. I did not want to call back because I am sure he is feeling quite SORE!!! I will post an update when I call him today.

Katt...congratulations on hitting the onderlands....I am really happy for you and I know you have come a long ways!

Michele that kind of sucks that one you have to wait so long to get that icky gallbladder out and that the surgery comes right before your birthday. What day is your birthday?

Joy I hope you are not super overdoing it with your "room."

Nikki I hope today goes smooth for you returning to work. I know it is going to be taxing on you...so try and take care of yourself as best as you can!

So what are all your plans otherwise this weekend? I am sure it is going to be a beautiful week around our lovely state! Having fun is a requirement for the weekend gang...so even though you might have tons to do...you know that responsible stuff....find something fun to do!

 

I am kind of brain dead really and have not been up much on the boards....I will try and get a good shout out going soon!!! But remember you are all cared for!

Good Morning Janine and the Cali crew!!!

Yeah!!!! It's finally Friday!!  I am so glad that it is finally here.  I am glad you got to see your students.  I am sure they were suprised to see you. 

Not much planned for the weekend for me.  I am supposed to get my car this weekend but I haven't heard from my friend so I am not sure if the repairs have been completed.  I really wanted to go to karaoke with Rhonda and everyone but without a car, it will be a little hard. 

I have Angel Food distribution tomorrow and then nothing planned for the rest of the day.  Geesh...I live such an exciting life. 

Well, everyone have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the weather.

Just a quick hello to all.  I miss ya.  This class has kicked my booty but it is over tomorrow.  I am spending the night at moms so I can go renew my cpr tomorrow.  That means missing coffee which bites.

Morning Janine and Cali .. . work has been so busy .  . I couldn't even read the boards until this morning . . . being busy is one thing, being insane EVERY day is quite another . . .it drains you totally . . . so then I did water aerobics last night, met some friends for dinner and then get a call to bring home a thermometer . . .my grandson had a 102.4 temp AFTER an hour of taking tylenol .  . . poor little guy . . . all we could get in him were popcicles . . . but we finally got the temp down.

Costco for me tomorrow . . .and then leave early to meet up with the Disneyland crew  . . . .how fun!  Hope Ronda and gang have a great start to their weekend . . . see you guys soon!

Good morning Janine and Cali,

My last day of work for a few weeks! I have so much to do it is not funny.  My staff is great so I can depend on them to get things done while I am out.  MY DH on the other hand can sometimes be a little like a toddler-he wants to help but makes things worse!

I have to get my pre op blood work today some time, good thing Kaiser is just around the corner.  I am sure the fear-excitement will set in here soon.  Hope everyone has a nice day

Janine - definately don't over do it girl! I know it's hard for you to stay down, but be careful.

Tomorrow brings a 10K on the beach. It's called Miracle Miles for Kids. It's to help High Needs and Foster kids in the area. It should be nice. The course is on the Beach between Morro Bay and Cayucos. Sunday will bring the usual weekend errands.

I know it sucks that I have to wait so long, but you know how fast time goes.  I told the doctor yesterday.  Well, I guess I'll have to be careful with what I eat so I don't have any attacks between now and June 23rd...

Janine, my Birthday is June 24....I know some people say...at my age it is just another day...well for me I love to celebrate and this just gives me another reason too.  Not that I need one...LOL  BTW, are you going to the lunch today?

Hope you all have a wonderful day.  I am leaving work early to pick up my granddaughter and then meet Rhonda/MoMo/Becky and anyone else for lunch.  I am pretty excited.  Then tomorrow I am going to meet up with Lena and LittleMan and were going to meet the group at Scandia...Fun,Fun!!!

Friday...already!   Good Morning Janine and Cali Crew!

This week has been kicking my tushie, but my houseguests arrive tonight for my Aunt's Funeral tomorrow so it will be a busy weekend.  Heck, the day is just started and I still need to pick up the guest room, make up the beds, and clean the bathrooms.    Of course, I can't touch any of it until I get home from work and then I'll be in a frenzy to get it all done.  I expect arrival around 8 pm so hopefully I'll get a solid 3 hours between the time I get home and the time they get there.  I also need to whip up a hot dish that can be reheated tomorrow...so that's on the list too.  Brain is still a little fuzzy, but got to find a dish with no cheese or milk, no tomato, and no beans...any suggestions? 

Well, I better get moving over to the other worksite and let the contractors in to do more painting.
