Anyone have their BS of CA cover any of their vitamins?  Was told to look into it as if some of your labs are low they may cover the RX vitamins.

I have BS of CA HMO, but I don't believe my plan covers vitamins.  I should check though!

I also have this insurance, but I don't believe the insurance covers vitamins.  Please let me know, though!

The email I got from Blue Shield of CA  today says vitamins are not a covered benefit. Yeah, I figured as much but it was worth a try.  Funny though that my PCP says it covers iron infusions and B12 injections if needed.  I was just hoping to get some mega Vit D and maybe even the calcium covered since my vitamin D is in the toilet (its 16 and low is 30).  Will keep ordering my 50,000 Vit D from Vitalady. I also discovered today that the Walmart brand Citrical dissolves in sugar free drinks very nicely.  Will add that and keep my BA Calcium when I can afford it.  When moneys tight I will do the generic and dissolve. The things we try when moneys tight. :)

I just bought a 3 big bags of  vitamin D chews at costco (sugar free). They are yummy!
Do not like eating flintstones vitimins with iron so I am soon to order liquid vitamins from my company called Lifesource. And sublingual B12.  I do not like the big vitamin D's and would have to grind them anyway. Not going to do that !
