I found a new product today at Wal-Mart, Power Ade now makes a sports drink that has ZERO calories, ZERO carbs, and ZERO sugars.

For 1 8-ounce serving, there are 55mg of Sodium, 35mg of Potassium and there's a few B vitamins in there too.

If you're working out/running its important to replenish your body not just with water but also electrolytes, sodium and potassium if you are exerting yourself for longer than 1 hour.  Gatorade has sugars in it that might upset an RNY pouch, but there's a lower calorie version of Gatorade caled G2 that I'm ok with...it still has 7 grams of sugar per serving.

Anyhow, I thought you might like to know that this product is around, its long overdue in my opinion. I found it at Wal-Mart in three different flavors. I'm taking a bottle on today's run, hope it tastes good. :)

I also ran into a new one at Costco this weekend (I was doing a demo on it) . . . Vita-Rain.  Zero everything . . . but B and C vitamins and electrolites.  24 bottles (4 flavors) for 11.99.  Actually tasted pretty good too.

Don't forget.....when you do endurance events, you do need to replace carbs also!

Hey...that's the ONLY reason I run!  Girl Scout Thin Mints taste the best ever during a marathon...just ask Kevin and Gene!  LOL

I've been drinking ZERO for a year or so...good stuff.  It took some getting used to because of the low sodium of all things.  The "Grape" is delicious and I am going to try the "Rain" flavor soon. Staters has them on sale quite offen for less than a dollar, and buy one get one free.  It definately makes hydrating an easier project.  PROPEL waters  are delicious too.
