Well they sent me home last night at about 7.  By the time I got home I was tired and went straight to bed.  There has been really no pain to speak of.  It is a little hard to sit up straight.  The surgeon was able to the RNY laproscopically, which is great.  He had to make a few extra points of entry to clear the adhesions.

I had my first meal at home some no sugar added apple sauce and fage yogurt.  I have been up for a while just moving a little slow.  Vanessa come home from grandma's this afternoon so I have to get my act together.

So glad to be on the loser's bench.

Welcome to the Loser's Bench Dolores!  It's great that you were able to have surgery the lap method...so much easier to recover from.  Be good to yourself, drink your fluids and rest as much as possible (with a young'in around that is LOL) and again, Congrats!

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Welcome home...and best wishes for a speedy recovery.  Give yourself about 2-3 weeks to get back on your feet...right now is just about healing.  You will tire quickly...HEED your body's messages..lol  Start slow at EVERYTHING.  No stretching...pulling or straining.  I compared it to a C-section recovery.  Fluids, walking and rest...work in what you can eat when you can eat.
You will do terrific!!

Kim-
I plan on taking 2 1/2 weeks off and 1/2 a week of short days.  So I am glad to see you think 3 weeks is a good estimate.  I am learning to listen to my body as you suggested as well,  Time for a little walk now after my protein.
