Can I have a few drinks 5 days pre-surgery?

Mayra congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I do not think it is a problem because there are enough days left before your surgery for you to have the alcohol out of your system. If your surgery was tomorrow...I would definitely say no!

It is not that you will never be able to drink either...beer might be out of the question because of the carbination. However I was a year out maybe even longer before I touched a drop of alcohol and got drunk super easy. You do not want to drink out the first time for sure. Swear you will not believe how poop faced you get....but I do have to warn you....we transfer addictions and I would hate to see you go on to a new addiction and I am not saying that you have a problem....but some even with the best intentions find themselves partying too much after wls. We had the surgery to get healthy!!!

Thanks so much for your reply.  Great advice.  I'll be sure to keep that in mind.  I'll be sure to drink enough water before surgery to flush my self out.  I will keep you all posted after my surgery.
