How will I know if I'm full?

I am 10 days out but still can't figure out when I'm full. My belly isn't full and bloated like before when I ate but I am experiencing some weird cramps in my belly. I don't think I have ever experienced this before. Does this mean I'm full? I thought my pouch was now higher in my chest area....Where is it! LOL
Thanks to you all,
Kathleen

I measured for the first 9 months to teach my new pouch what full is supose to feel like.

haven't a clue, everyone is different, depends on what you ate and how much you ate. Did your doc give you a program to follow?

I am also 10 days out from my RNY and I am having the same problem.  I have strange sounds coming my from stomach and I also feel very bloated.  I've been told it's sometimes difficult to know when you feel full right after surgery.  I kind of feel it while I am eating and I have mini-burps or I just get a feeling that I've had enough or one more bite might cause discomfort. The pouch should be right under the rib cage I think.

I would just really listen to your body, eat slowly. Give yourself time in between bites and see how you feel.  If you're satisfied, don't eat anymore.  I don't think the point is to eat as much as we can, but eat to the point where we don't feel we need more food.

I hope this helps.  I hope this bloating stuff goes away soon for both of us!

Hi from another Kathleen. I go by Katt. I am almost 14 months out and I still weigh my food. Of course I can eat a bit more now than I could right after surgery, but not a lot more. One signal that I get when I am full is, my nose runs. I know it sounds odd. I thought so too when I was told about it pre-op. But it's true. When I get full, my nose runs. That signals me that I need to stop eating. Everyone is different. You just need to re-learn to read your body's signals. Good luck on your weightloss journey.

I am sorry, I cross posted then tried to move my post and lost the whole note..lol...anyway...
Your pouch should be located just under your sternum area.
I hope you feel better soon....

Thank you, everyone! I appreciate all the input. I will admit; I was careless and didn't measure out food. This left me feeling sick and gross. Also, was reading when I ate so I ate too fast. I DON"T wanna feel like that again.
I am so tired of protein shakes I can't look at another one for a long, long time. Was eating cottage cheese. need to slow down, chew and not get distracted.
Gonna pay attention to my nose runnig too. Sounds crazy but I think you may be right.

You are numb, and will be for a while. Measure your food for a while, and the feeling will come.
