Happy Monday Gang
You know Darrell of Steve and Darrell better known as "D" really opened my eyes and said she looked like Bernadette Peters and the more I looked at her...I thought to myself....she does!!! I am going to name her Bernadette!
You are very astute about the painting as it is very 3D. Her breasts are made of cottonballs no less and molding compound. Her bottoms are made of coragated paper, those are fresh water pearls and I did go to the fabric store and buy the braiding and button on her suit bottoms. I also have outrageous false eyelashes on her....her lips are molded. The background...OMG....the sky is made of paper with interference on it, the water is done with a glass beaded compound and the sand...you got it..made of a sanded compound. Her hair is also of compounded to give it a textured flowing look!
So like I said you got it!!! The only thing that is not dimisional is her skin! Something new for me...well I can do whacked out stuff, but generally do not mix this much medium! I kind of just flew with it...and for JEAN...if you are reading this...I even used MAC makeup on her eyesLOL!!!
Have fun Nancy with all your trips and so forth...I think it is great that you are out and about enjoying yourself and darn I am sorry you have go to Maui...I will think of you while I dip my poor feet in the pool...NOT LOL!!!! Just don't come back with a great tan and lose like 1,000 pounds....only 10 okay???LOL
Hugs!

Janine, what a wonderful piece of art work. YOU are awesome. You are an amazing person. Great shoutout this morning as usual, have been off of the boards this weekend, a little busy.
My daughters Bacholrette party was a blast, ****tails at my house, dinner at Yardhouse, then on to dancing the night away. Asleep at 3:00 am and up at 8:00am. I am too old for that.LOL!!! But, I would not been able to do that a year ago, this WL Journey has been a God Send.
The Boys fishing trip was very cold and you are right. It snowed on them Friday and they did not catch one fish. Can't say they did not try. But Saturday, was a better day and they caught their limit.
Tom and the boys got home unloaded the fishing gear and we packed up to go camping this week at San Onofre, at the San Mateo Campground. I have already had 3 naps today and a good walk and it is 4:00pm. My weekend catching up tp me.LOL!!!!
Glad eveyone had a great weekend and here is to a good week ahead for all of us.
My friend Linda had her WLS today at La Jolla and everything was successful. We are going down to see her tomorrow. I am so happy for and to be her Angel. Hopefully, she will be on the boards soon.
Take care all.
Love everyone of you.
Hugs & Love,

Karen

I love that picture...you are really good. I used to do artistic stuff like that..painting was fun for me. I did needle work (but now I can't see well enough to do that anymore) I used to sew my kids clothes (when I didn't have two nickles to rub together). I used to sculpt and do all sorts of stuff. This weekend we did some home improvements and I got inspired to do alittle artistic stuff..
I have photos to share too!

The pre-cabinet and post installation pictures. Now my kitchen has 34 lineal feet of counter space. Woo Hoo.

This is a twin size sheet, sewn up the sides and top and painted with acrylic paint to make it Southwest Design...I'm happy with it.
Back to real work tomorrow. The stuff I get paid to do. LOL.

I had a very nice weekend. I had a high school graduation party on Saturday and yesterday my sister and brother in law went back home to Las Vegas, after my sister visiting for 2 weeks.
Today, I worked out with Miss Rhonda this morning. Its easier to workout when you have somebody to do it with and everybody knows Miss Rhonda is the best company. I like knowing that I have something to look foward to every morning.
This weekend is my sister's graduation from college, so I will be spending the weekend at my mom's in San Dimas.
I am still having trouble putting up an avatar. Just can't seem to figure it out. All my pics are too big. Can somebody help?
I know I am really late with my post, but I hope everybody has a wonderful evening.
Hugs & Friendship,

Janine...cool painting! maybe a tiny seashell at the water line might look cool, unless she's supposed to be standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean.
The wedding went great; there's a few pictures that I uploaded, check'em out when you have time. I danced all night long......I never would have been able to get out there and do that before, and I owe it all to the better/healthier lifestye that I have now. I think I was dancing with a different person every 20 minutes as the others went to rest...LOL. There were people at this wedding that I hadn't seen in 2+ years, and they didn't even believe it was me. The only thing that bothered me that night was that I took a sip of apple cider...and the carbonation really hit hard for about 20 minutes. Other than that I had a blast.
