constipation advice, please

The calcium I'm taking has a lot of magnesium in it. I've had very little constipation to date.

I remember reading something some time back -- maybe try a suppository?

Thanks Patti,

I think I am going to do the suppository and then try to find a regimen to keep me regular: miralax, colace, fiber....whatever combination works!

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Ok, I'm kind of an expert in this subject, unfortunately!!!

I take Miralax once a day and one generic colace every night. If I miss one day of either, I am in BIG trouble!!! Now, I have hernias, so I don't know if that is my issue, but I will soon. Being constipated is NO FUN and I have been impacted too many times to take any chances anymore!!!
I don't do any fiber supplements because I don't know how that would add to the mix. I know the Miralax and colace combo works for me!  I buy the Miralax at Costco, it's NOT cheap. I'm hoping after my hernia surgery, I won't need it anymore, but we will see!
Best wishes with this sweetie!!!  bigg huggs, Becky

Surgery was RNY 5/21/07...I can be found on Facebook: anewbecboo or Becky Reddick

I have done the Miralax/Colace combo more than once since my surgery without any ill effects.  I prefer it to the other laxatives because neither one causes cramping and abdominal pain... and i simply REFUSE to do a suppository.  Nope.  Not for me.  :P

At any rate, hope you get some relief soon!
