Wow, Janine...you have such a beautiful spirit about you...it is such a joy to read your posts.  I miss you when you miss a day which is soooo rare!

Bernadette is absolutely sooo RIGHT for your painting!.  As soon as I read that you named her....my mind shouted YES! PERFECT!  She does so look like Ms Peters ^_^

Work is starting to get nuts; our O/Mgr called in sick yesterday; we are 1 week out from leaving for Maui, we have to ship everything over on Thursday...and she calls in sick??  I wouldn't question it except that she almost consistenly once a week calls and says she will be late because of any various flimsly excuses.  She is very 'territorial' regarding her duties and gets a *****y if anyone crosses bondaries, which I have a tendency to do if I need something 'now' and it doesn't fit into her schedule. I don't mind getting it for myself.  For example...we'd better not touch the mail when it arrives; THAT is HER job! So what if she doesn't get to it for an hour or so...but I'm trying to keep to my schedule and I don't mind opening the money envelopes...but her attitude is really hard to take sometimes.  And it isn't an 'age' thing either...I'm  25 years older than she is!!  She's a bit young to be so 'anal'!!

Ok, enough gripping. My boss is still happy with me and that is all that counts LOL  Today is Lon's 71st birthday...of course, he tells me it really is only 17!!  God forbid!  I couldn't keep up with him if it was only 17!  He likes to pull the 'old man' garbage just to see my bristle...but most of the time, he is always thinking and planning...and he is my strongest supporter...as he is always telling me about me...I say he is a 'keeper'  ^_^

Gotta get to work...time is growing short. Chris and Janine, I love the new avatars! And Chris, your 'style' of head gear is unique LOL  Have a great day everyone...you all are so greatly appreciated by ME!

You are so sweet Nancy!!! Your comment about missing me really made my day....I didn't make the post to get kudo's...I just did it for all of us to have some brain food so to speak.

I just find it so important for people to know they are cared about because lets face it Nancy we went many years with having no to care for us or very few care about us...to being invisible because we did not fit in.

Well here at OH we do fit in because we are a community for former obese people, people who are just starting their journey, and those people that are somewhere in the middle. I cannot stress how important this site was to me in the beginning and here I am 7 years later and still know how important this site is to me. Give back...OMG I might give back, but what I have received in return is nothing short of amazing.

You and all the rest of the people here have shown me some of the kindest ways people can be in your life. People always think that you are showing kinds with gifts and stuff...you know what I mean....hell weren't we reward with food when we were kids...even as adults...you know the dreaded potlucks or how about all the donuts brought in for morning snacks....but it is the words Nancy and the true sincerity that really means the world to me. Only my husband, Jeff and my close family ( okay the only family I have) have ever been so kind to me. Surely not from my family that I grew up with.

So when you guys say and do what you do...sometimes I am like what? How did this happen? It really blows me away!

I surely hope that one of these days I can get up there to meet all of you NorCal peeps. I am hoping to talk the old man into a mini vacation or something....I need a NorCal fix!!!

Another great shout Janine.  I look forward to reading your shout as it gives me insight to you and what is going on with a lot of the other OH posters.  It is really comforting to know that we all have stuff in common and because of that it is so easy to talk to each other (meaning everyone on OH). 
As everyone else has stated, Bernadette is perfect!

Hope everyone is having a really great day!!! I don't know about the rest of you but I am really missing the sunshine today. June gloom can sure be a bummer. I just got back from a nice visit with some of my guys. I work for a construction company and don't get to see my guys very often, they were right around the corner so, I went out to say hi. So glad I did they haven't seen me in awhile and wow were they full of compliments. Boy, did that feel good!!! I see the results on th scale and know I'm in smaller sizes but it sure is good to hear from others.

Janine - your post was so great. I lurked for a long time here on this board and even though I wasn't participating I felt acknowledged and supported. It is amazing to me how much support these boards provide. I first read one of your posts last September and knew you were one special lady and someone I would like to know. So thank you for sticking around after 7 years and providing so much love and support.

Great post as usual Janine and so VERY true!!! I just can't imagine my life without OH and all the great friends I have here. You guys are what helps me through so many days and for that I am VERY grateful and thank God everyday for all of you!!!
I might be MIA for a bit, cable and internet are going to be out soon, but please know I am always thinking about all of you and praying for my wonderful OH family!!! I will miss being able to come here and catch up on everyone's lives. Even though I don't post much, I am always here reading.
My preop apptments went well yesterday and I'm happy to report that it looks like they can sneek my mons reduction in and I am ECSTATIC about that. It was my greatest hope and prayer and I think it is going to happen. I can't afford the rest of the extras he gave me estimates for, but I was begging for that one and will be so VERY grateful if it happens. My surgery is June 20 @ 2pm @ UCSD Thornton.  It's really starting to seem real...scary, exciting, and freaky all at one time!!! lol  Thanks for all your well wishes and prayers, I LOVE YOU ALL!!!
