Merced area PCP's
Hey, all. I usually post over on LW but for this I figured I should ask you all.
I am looking for a new PCP, one versed in WLS, and in the Merced County area.
Does anyone have a doc in this area that they like, that knows what to expec****ch for in a WLS patient?
I have been very unhappy with the doctors in Los Banos, and now the only one I could tolerate is leaving the country. No great loss.
I am, suddenly, anemic despite taking all the recommended vitamins for an RNY, whi*****ludes 150mg Polysaccharide Iron along with C. My doctor said to just triple the iron and see me in a few months for repeat labs.
Had my follow up with my surgeon's office today; this is NOT an iron loss due to the surgery, there's something else going on and now I have to see a hematologist and my OBGYN for birth control?!!
Thanks everyone.

If you can't find one in Merced you may want to look in Turlock. Can't give you a name. I had to tell my PCP which tests to order...This was a couple of years ago, so I think most are getting better and better. They are seeing more and more WLS patients...so it's not as new. Hopefully they are getting to some of the continuting education out there concerning WLS. Brian
