July 27th!

4 days and a year after my mom's surgery, (on July 23rd 2008)... lol .....We're going to do my last meal and her surgiversary meal on the same day a couple days before my surgery
It seems soooo far away. I'm a bit disappointed cause I was really hoping for early or mid July but there's nothing I can really do about it, lol.... I'm totally excited. I can't wait. I wish I could just go to sleep and wake up in July, lol.

My next thing I get to do for surgery is a 1 on 1 with the surgeon on July 2nd.

Yippee!

Hey Angel Gd,

I know I already said it, but YAYAYAYAY! How about a celebration at Cafe Piccolo? They have great pasta, something you will limit after July 27th. But they have great other stuff too.

I had my surgery on May 27th and set the date around 2 months ahead of time so I had a lot of days anticipating and thinking about the surgery.  Sometimes time moved so slowly I couldn't stand it.  I bought several books on gastric bypass to take advantage of the time I had.  I bought "A Diary of Gastric Bypass Surgery" off of Amazon and a couple of others.  There are a lot of books to choose from, and that surprised me.  During the two month period before my surgery, I managed to break my night time munching habit and found out there are other things I like to do before I go to bed. Breaking this habit before surgery has made things so much easier.

Good luck to you during this time of anticipation.  Check in with us a lot for support and ideas.

Yes I already have a small library of books on WLS. I've dug my way half way through 2 already. Thanks for the suggestion! I'm going to make it my goal to finish the 3 I have that pertain most to pre-op life :)

Edit: Oh yeah, I also already started getting into the habit of taking vitamins 2 times a day :)
