Happy TGIF!!
Happy TGIF to you Janine and Cali Friends. Glad today has finally arrived. I just hope I can get everything completed at work so that I do not have to come in this weekend!
Janine, it is time for you to relax and take it easy. This is a direct order. LOL
And for all you teachers out there, thanks for making a difference. I kept in touch with my 7th grade teacher until she passed away in October 2008 at age 95. She was such an inspiration and without her, I would never have completed high school nor would I have a Masters in Organizational Management. Again, a big thanks to all you teachers that are involved and really care about your students.
I have a birthday party to go to for a 2 year old on Saturday and lots of other stuff planned if I do not come into the office this weekend. Therefore, I will not be on OH much this weekend. However, I am wishing everyone a great, safe and fun weekend.

I am still recovering from yesterday. I had to get up at 4:30 and drive to Sacramento, attend an ergonomic training session, have lunch with Nancy (aka Sunray) who is an absolutely delightful person, and then drive home. I'm tired. My house is a mess, I have laundry to do and a bbq to prepare for, but my main priority tonight is to GET SOME REST! Then, I will have energy to take care of the rest.
We're having a big BBQ on Sunday to celebrate my 48th Birthday. So, I have to go shopping for food, make some food, clean my house (in case we get rained out of the bbq at the lake, we can move it to my house) and do my laundry. This is going to be a busy weekend. Oh, and I'm trying to sell my son's old car - an 89 Honda Civic -- and have 3 people coming to look at it.
Monday is my actual birthday and I was going to take the day off, but decided against it as we are going on vacation the following week. I will celebrate later.
Off to work. TGIF!!!!

It's OCIM (oh crap it's Monday) for me and it is going to be a LONG day. I work 4-midnight, but I have a meeting at 12 that I have to be there for. That will probably be hour, hour and a half, but I live to far away to go home, so I'm staying. Meeting an old friend to hang out with me, so that will be fun, but 12 hours at my workplace is not the best scenario for the day. lol
Let me tell you about this friend though, she was my friend in 7th grade in a small town in Wisconsin. In fact, she was my only friend at this school. We moved there mid year and the school was full of rich snobs who had standards to accept girls by and I didn't have those standards. I spent most days on the playground at lunch in the snow crying! (really bad memories and the ONLY time I hated school). Lynn was the only person who friended me and we became pretty good friends, even after I (thankfully) moved a few towns down for 8th grade. Anyway, a few weeks ago, I was at work and this girl says to me "did you go to school in Wisconsin?" um ya, but that was over 30 years ago when I was 12!!!!!!! I looked at her and looked down at her name and was "OMG, Lynn?" Sure enough, it was my one and only friend in my second half of 7th grade. How did she recognize me ALL these years later??? It had to be a God thing!!! I had just been talking to my mom about her because I never forgot her and wondered what happened to her. I thought for sure she'd be a pro basketball player or a comedian. NOPE, she was a pro bowler! lol and now she lives in the small town of Valley Center, where I work and comes to the casino all the time. HOW FREAKY IS THAT!!!! So today, we get to catch up on all these years since we've seen each other. I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Life sure is crazee sometimes, huh?!!!
So, I hope everyone has a great weekend!!!! Happy to see some of you tomorrow!
Oh ya, my preop went well and it looks like I am going to get my Mons lift added into my surgery, Woo to the fricken Hoo!!!!!

I was about to call you to see if you would run away from home with me to MOMO's. But I just read she can't get off on Monday as she is going on another vacation and you are meeting up with a friend from the past (that is so super exiting and such a God thing) How amazing is that? I should not even think of running away with my mother coming and all. So I guess we will have to plan for another time. If I can gather the funds, maybe I can go up in August around my Birthday time and we can celebrate all our birthdays together maybe go to the Dolce Vanita spa in Redding? Lets all plan on a road trip to MOMO's house soon for a huge B-Day celebration.

Darn it. But..........I LOVE DOLCE VANITA!!!! Frequent it often. The Spa Downtown is uber luxurious too! Anytime to pamper myself I do it (nobody else is gonna!)
I'm free in August except the 1st weekend. August 1st is our employee group rafting trip and camping trip! You should come up for that. 1/2 day rafting in a class 3 (beginner / chicken) setting, bbq dinner and camping.
I could get Monday off if I wanted it.................. I can get just about any day off with enough advance notice!
Bring as many kids as you want - I have room for 'em!

That sounds wonderful! The first weekend is kind of my birthday weekend too, but that is your employee thing. I have always wanted to go river rafting, always has been on my bucket list. Lets talk more about that. I would love to come up. Hubby would make me take at least one kid with me I am sure, as he knows I am a wild woman! lol.
But lets see what I can come up with! lol
