Good Monday Morning CALI

Aloha Janine and Cali Friends,

I will have to say good evening!  It's only 8:45 p.m. here and we're in for the night!  We had a full day from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. taking a circle tour of the island and what a great tour guide we had.  I have done this tour many times and by far this was the best due to our tour driver.

I had my fill of pineapple at the Dole plantation, OMG, everyone eating ice cream (I don't think so) but I SO enjoyed my fresh pineapple and could have cared less about ice cream.  For dinner we went to Jimmy Buffet's Restaurant, which was really fun.  It is a challenge to eat here because 1) the food is so expensive and I hardly eat 1/3 of it.  So I had chicken wings, carrots and celery.  I brought most back to the hotel and I'm willing to bet that they will end up getting tossed.

The weather has been wonderful so far, warm and in the 90's (which is warmer than average here).  The surf in Waikiki is pretty strong, so the submarines aren't running because of clarity of the water, so Ron is bummed!
