looking for a support group to attend

I live in Ione CA which is in Amador County. I am looking for a support group that is close to here. There used to be one here but they have not done it since before I had my surgery. I have not been to a support group yet and I would like to but I can not travel long distances to attend any. Does anyone know of any that would be close. Maybe Lodi, or Elk Grove, or Rancho Cordova.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sue, I am not sure whether or not there is a group in your area, however, you can click on GROUPS and put in your city and/or zip and find a group close you.  I am also providing you with the GROUP web address:  http://www.obesityhelp.com/group

I would be very interested in support meetings in the Elk Grove area and would happily open my home to such a thing if there was sufficient interest.  I live in Elk Grove, just off I-5.  We can make a pool party out of it!
