Need help finding a doctor

Hi All,

I have spent the last 4 years trying to lose weight, from excercise to diet pills....with no success.

The doctors I have seen are not supportive of WLS, one said he doesnt believe in it, the other just put me on diet pills for 2 years (they never worked).

I would like to revisit the idea with a PCP doctor that is at least open to the concept.

I am in S. Orange County, and would appreciate any suggestions.

My insurance is Health Net, (Open Access, HMO, POS)

Thanks,
kim

Call your insurance company and get a list of doctors under your plan..

Hi Darlene,

I have already identified a couple of surgeons, I need help finding a PCP that is open to refering to surgery.

Honestly, to look at a long list of doctors is not helpful.  I have gone to a few doctors in the past 4 years, and each one has me jump through hoops (wastes my time) and in the end, they just dont believe in surgery (they think it is extreme.)

Rather than spending 5 more years "trying out" doctors, Id like to know if there are any PCP's in the area that are not opposed to surgery as an option.

I can go to Greater Newport Physicians, Monarch...and others...but dont know which PCP to select.

Thanks,
kim
