Yes I am still around

The hardest thing I do is asking someone for help, which I am sure that it that way for alot.  Right now I am ok.  Dougie has cleaned the house done the laundry, worked his butt off, I see the doctor on Tues, I am sure that is going to be a time when I will have to yell for help.  It will be a long recovery.  It just gets really lonely in my room all week.  You all know how much I like to be around people and I am just missing everyone and everything right now.

Thanks Rhonda, hugs, Diane

Hi Diane
I am so happy to see your smiling avatar; but I am afraid in reality that smile is taking some effort to bring about.  I can so relate to your cir****tances; when I was 16 I twisted my body the wrong way while getting out of the car...the pain dropped me to my knees.  After xrays, it was discovered a disc 'moved' and pinched a nerve and sent all my major back muscles into spasms.  I was flat on my back for 2 weeks and went to a chiropractor for 2 months. An experience I pray I never have to repeat.

Of course you are in my prayers! Rehab won't be a vacation by any stretch of the imagination, but it will be so worth it. Please keep posting...you have been missed~&

Hey Diane....glad you finally put it out there what is up with your back....I know it is going to be a long recovery, but there are a lot of people out here who care about you and who are more than willing to come and help or just come to keep you company. You know you are tough and will work your way back to the *****y gal you are. I do wish you the best with your surgery and recovery.

Hi Diane...I am glad to see you posting, but so sad to hear of your pain.  I have 3 friends with Spinal Stenosis, one had the surgery 6 months ago..she is recovering well, she is finally able to have a life (she is 60 also), one is on a revolving dose of Meloxicam, 6 weeks on, 4 weeks off,  no surgery planned as of yet, and the third is battleing the pain as you are, she has yet to seek more answers.  I have seen the physical distress it causes and I wish you the bestest wishes and deepest prayers in your treatment.  You take care now...
much love, Kim

Diane, My Mom had the same back issues...went to see a Dr Lee at Stanford, he did surgery and was released from the hospital that same day!!! We stayed at a Motel for 2 days then drove 140 miles back home!!! Has had no problems with her lower back since! She was in such agony for 3 months until I had a ***** fit and got a referral from her Dr to Stanford there was NO reason for her to be in that much pain and her "Duck Doctor" (QUACK) tried to say it was stress at first and that is when the poo hit the fan! I think he hates it when I go to appointments with her,LOL
I hope they fix this in a timely manner, you shouldn't be hurting like this and I know how bored you must be,
Sending hugs and love.

yeah the pain thing really does suck!  I know for sure I will be in the hospital for 3 days.  Last year when I spoke to the doctor he talked about titanium spacers for fix the bulging disc, but this disc out of alignment, well this is new, and this is what is cause the worst of the pain within the last 10 days or a bit longer.  I just hate taking so many drugs to try and get rid of the pain.  I can't wait to hear what the doc will day tomorrow when looking at the MRI, and let's get on with living again.  Glad your mom is doing so good, I can only pray for the same...and all of everyones prayers!
