I've been sidelined....

Hi all..I have been sidelined a bit lately.  I guess the trip to Idaho did a lot more than stress me out mentally.  It gave me a raging UTI (which I am prone to when sitting for hours with a prolapsed bladder) and it put me in the ER yesterday from noon to almost midnight with a mild heart attack.....again!  So now I am waiting for a call from my cardiologist to quickly schedule a  treadmill stress test, then on to the dreaded angiogram.  I put off the angiogram 6 months ago, cuz I wanted to see what some weight loss did for me.  Well, it did nada as far as my heart problems go.  I knew I had been feeling bad, but dang....something told me yesterday....get to ER.  I had made an appt. with cardiology just minutes before I decided to go to ER.  Something told me not to wait the two weeks until the appt. date.
Hope all is going well, take care...
Happy blessings to everybody...

My sympathies to you for both your heart and the UTI.  UTIs are so uncomfortable.  I am glad you went to the ER. I know dealing with health problems just stink, but it's good you followed your instincts by not waiting for 2 weeks.  I think losing weight has helped because you don't know if the heart attack would have been minor. It could have been major if you hadn't done something to address the weight and I bet treating it will be better since you've lost weight.

I am sending you get well thoughts and wish you lots of luck!!

thank you MsBlues..your thoughts are so very welcome and appreciated.  Part of my decision to go to ER comes from information sent out via e-mail and what signs to look for as possible heart issues...whodda thought!!??

Kim...so sorry to hear of the heart problems..but so impressed you are that intuitive to know the signals your body sends out.  Fifty lbs is fifty lbs not sitting around you heart!  You bet all your hard work and sacrifice has its benefits...as MsBlues said...it could have been a whole lot worse!  Please keep us informed on your progress and when you are scheduled for the angiogram.  We care!!

Thank you for your note, Nancy.  I hadn't thought about the loss of fat around my heart...just my belly..lol  I intend on putting in more hard work to relieve myself of further issues.  I will surely post my progress, even if it is just to help another reader not waste any time and learn the "signals".
Bless you and yours

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Thank you Terry.  I am wondering how often this happens among WLS patients, even after thier successful surgeries.  So many of us go into the procedure with heart/heath  issues already, I hope the outcomes are researched and recorded and super positive! I am trying to educate my daughters on the risks of obesity with diabetes and stress before they fall victim to it all.
thanks again...

Ahhh,Kim. I am so sorry you are having to deal with all this at once. UTI's SUCK...PERIOD. Having Interstitial Cystitis (which I have) is like having a UTI daily. So, I can very much relate. Heart issues not so much, but my question is  what is wrong with your heart? And why have you not had your bladder put back up where it belongs? It isn't too bad of a surgery and it can be done vaginally?
Hope all goes well with your test and they give you some much needed help and answers.

HUGS
JOY
