I've been sidelined....
Hi Joy
..thank you for your note. As far as the heart damage...sometime during the time I was taking care of my mother, starting 2 summers ago..(damn, time flies!) I apparently had a "silent heart attack" I didn't know about it until I was ready for my pre-op tests and 4 EKGs came back rejecting me for surgery. I was started on a medication and cleared for surgery with the condition that at 3 months post-op I'd get an angiogram. I do remember an unusual feeling in my left chest area and if I pressed on the area, the "unusual feeling" went away. Now, I recognise the pressure immediately when it happens, but it is only occassional and is gone within seconds. I am my own worst enemy when it comes to invasive health care. I don't mind needles as long as they are NOT in me..lol
Ever since my road trip just over a week ago,I have been feeling "uncomfortable" with chest aches and back aches. The back ache could be due to the UTI that very likely was traveling to my kidneys, but the chest ache seemed to push thru to my spine between my shoulder blades....RED FLAG!! Clammy skin...RED FLAG. Extreme fatigue...RED FLAG. Plus, I couldn't eat...for me...another red flag..lol Sooooooooo, I just bit the bullet, called my neighbor and he had me at Kaiser in less than 5 minutes...lol
As far as the bladder lift, I have not looked into it yet. When I was assessed with a prolapsed bladder, I was told to get my chronic constipation under control and I could go forth with it. Well, after two 10 lbs.10oz babies and more than 10 yrs of chronic constipation, bladder issues are still a problem, HOWEVER, I have paid attention to our wonderful board members and started using MiraLax and I am having terrific results. So I think a lift is in my future. I am now on a strong antibiotic as I found out yesterday that the one I had been taking for the last 2 bouts of UTIs, I've become resistant to. With your IC, I am sure you can relate. By the way, when will you have your procedure for your IC?
Thank you again for your note.

Kim,
I am so sorry to hear of the problems that you have been having. Just another reminder that we need to listen to what our bodies are trying to tell us. I am glad that the heart attack was not major, but it was a heart attack, nonetheless. I will be saying special prayers and sending good vibes your way. I wish you the best and hope that soon you can put your health worries behind you.
Take Care,
Hugs & Friendship,

Hey...have you thought about the stair climber chairs? My friend's mom...waaaaaaayyyyyyyy older than you of course, has one in each of her two homes....its made her life so much easier. Both my friend and her mom have spinal stenosis. It looks as though it was an inherited condition. The friend is the one on the Meloxicam...the mom just has the stair climber.
Keep us posted on your progress m'dear.....
smoochies!!!
