Dogs is all I can say DOGS!!!!! Sometimes those turds are as spiteful as people I know....however I digress.....

Ava and I went to Target to get baskets to organize the baby room in my house and what do the dogs do...ate her potty chair!!! I mean like it is clean, we sanatize it each time she uses it....but that is not good enough....they tore up and off the foam seat....chewed the handles....grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I cannot go get her a new potty chair until she wakes...guess it is back to diapers!

While I was gone this past week, she developed a really bad bladder infection and then we had to find out the hard way she is allergic to sulpha drugs like my son is....so now she has to take Penicillin....but she will be okay. Her mommy had a long talk with the nursery school of being extra careful with wiping her now!!!

Thanks for letting me vent...spiteful DOGS!!!!!

No diapers please Granny LOL, it could make the infection worse(UTI's are hell and I can't amagine being a toddler and having one.). Just hold here on the big girl potty...if she will go for it. As for the dogs I can so relate...my beagle will eat  ANYTING!!!! And everything and plastic is his favorite.

OMG Joy! I so relate with the Beagle monster!  I had one when I met Lon...but not for long LOL  We left her in the motorhome...we were only gone a couple of hours! She destroyed the blinds, the sliding cover on the screen door, the molding around the beds, HUGE scatches on the bathroom door (we THOUGHT we were being 'smart' to close it so she couldn't get into the bathroom!)...I thought for sure Lon was gonna kill her on the spot :-(  She made it home to California (we were in Washington at the time) but I had a decision to make..the man or the dog.  Well, you all know the answer...Lon is still around LOL

Sorry about little Miss Ava though.... the UTI sux...and now no potty chair to boot

I'm guessing you either have puppies or dogs with an anxiety issue. I have 4 house dogs, and all of them exhibited some excessive chewing behavior at 3-6 months of age. Once past that, then no issues. I do supply them with "chew toys", some of them they can tear apart, but they do leave the furnture and shoes alone. DAVE

Janine,

I am so sorry to hear about Ava and hope she's feeling better soon.

Funny dog story when I was growing up.  My Step-Father owned a car dealership, so he always had new top of the line Oldsmobiles to drive around.  One night my Mom and he went to a dinner party and took our boxers (male and female) and left them in the car with water and blankets covering the seats.  They didn't expect to be too long but (you know how that goes) and when they came out, the hood liner was in shreds, the seats torn open to the springs and foam everywhere.  Dogs stayed though!

Hugs,
Barb
