How to become a Certified Medical Assistant!?

I'm thinking about going to school to become a medical assistant but I would like to become certified. I'm just wondering how do I become certified once school is completed? Is there a website I can refer to? Where I can get the application? Anyone who can help would be great! Thanks!

Check your local adult school or Jr. College, they usually have certification programs.

My mom just became a certified medical assistant. She went through the adult education system. She has been a medical receptionist for almost twenty years and she just wanted to become one, so she took the classes and now she is a M.A. I do think it is less expensive than going to the trade schools, so you might want to look into it. If your going to be a M.A., maybe also think about becoming a LVN, which could be a lot more $$!
