It is going to be a real scorcher in the desert today...yesterday it popped 115 in the late afternoon and I surely hated my contacts! LOL

I took Ava swimming last night...well early evening and we had a ball in the pool, but I had to let her dad take over because I cannot stay in the water that long because of the incisions around my girls. Ava is a real water baby and she cracks me up how she dunks herself.

Yesterday I went and saw Public Enemies with my friend...OMG if you are a Johnny Depp fan...go see....he was great as Dillinger!

I am looking forward to today....having a good houseful of people here to bbq and swim and then do the fireworks. I like all the holidays now because I have the granddkids to look forward to so I can see things through their eyes....the innocences and surprise and wonderment in their eyes is a real charge for me!

I hope you all have a great day....be safe like Chris said, drink tha****er for sure....and do all the good stuff for your body today!!!!

Happy Fourth of July!! I hope everybody enjoys the day and evening! Its a wonderful day. I love the signifigance of the day, but most of it gets lost in the fireworks and picnics and bar-b-ques.

I am keeping everyone in my thoughts everyday, for whatever your needs may be at this time. Stay hydrated and cool today. Be careful and most important of all enjoy your family and friends. Surround yourself with positive people today. For some of us, that may be even reaching out to strangers, and thats ok. Step out of that comfort zone. Enjoy YOU, today.

Happy 4th of July Everyone and Happy Birthday USA!!
I'm up early watching the Wimbleton women's final between Serena and Venus Williams. They are just awesome to watch.
*Serna just Won!!* Only her 3rd Wimbleton win. Venus has won 5 times! They are just amazing players.
Lon and I rode the scooters out to Skandia last nite to play 2 games of minature golf.  Each time we go I remember the first time...I 'introduced' Lon to the game 11 years ago.  Not only had he not played the game, he wasn't even sure if he knew what the game was!  It was the first time I really understood that Lon hadn't had much 'fun' in his life.  It makes me feel good inside that I have been able to change that ^_^

Today we plan to go out to McClellan Air base to the aviator museum, maybe spend some time down in Old Town and later tonight go play some billards.  I like watching the fireworks but the crowds are a turnoff..so we'll see what we can see from the house.

good morning Chris and Cali and Happy 4th of July!

I got to sleep in today. Big Sam is home this morning and got up with Lil Sam and let me stay in the bed. It felt goooooood.

We're heading out for breakfast pretty soon and looking forward to a second family day in a row! Have a BBQ later this afternoon then we'll do fireworks in the street. Sammi's really excited about the fireworks this year.

Good morning Chris and everyone!!!

Happy 4th of July to all!!!  Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe day.  I am here in San Jose visiting family and friends.  I even seen a friend that I have not seen in over 25 years...it was so great to see him...when he seen me, first he laughed and said...."you are so tiny" then he said..."WOW, you look fabulous and I think you are smaller then you were when you were 18"  it was soo cool.  I felt great!!!  Here is the picture of the two of us...well, If I post it correctly...by golly I thinked it worked!!!!
