Urinary Tract Infection ---Surgery one week away

I know this a little personal HOWEVER, I just received my labs back and they found I had a UTI. I'm in no pain and never knew I had it.
Will they be able to do the surgery or will I have to postpone the date in order to cure?
Anyone go through this or know of someone who has?

Did your doc put you on antibiotics yet? I cannot say for sure, but if you are anitbiotics and you are not having a full blown infection, I don't think your surgery would be postponed. However on Monday I would make sure you call Dr. Suh's office. Good luck!!!

I hope not. I received my lab results late thursday via internet (Kaiser) I called my doctors office but they were closed. I have been taking tetracycline (what I have left in my medicine cabinet****il I speak with a doctor monday. Not to mention I'm almost done shaking off a cold. Wouldn't you know it...I've been waiting years for this surgery and right when its just at my grasp, I end up with a UTI and getting over a cold. Ugh! Iv'e taken such good care of myself and out of the blue-

Bam! I guess this is just a prerequisite of my journey. Life has its ups and downs. I guess my problems could be worse, huh? Thanks for lending an ear. Have a HAPPY AND SAFE FOURTH OF JULY!
