Not a WOW moment

Let me tell you about my so NOT a WOW moment…  

Yesterday, I got a call to join my new friend for lunch…He was working so he asked me to meet him at a place closed to where he work, Riverside air port, nothing fancy, but good. I have had a few times before, so I was not worried. My new friend does not know that I have had surgery. Its not that I am keeping it from him, just has not came up.  

Anyway, about two bite in, and I knew I was in trouble. What to do….What to do…..I don’t mind sharing my lunch, just not the way that was close at hand.   I excuse myself and all but ran to the bathroom. Where I start really feeling like  OMG! this can not be happening. I don’t know how long I was in there but the waitress comes looking for me. First thing out of my month….did he send you?... Noooo nooo its OK, I sent someone over to keep him company. I knew something was wrong, but I could also tell this was something just starting up, so I thought I would run block aid for you. So after about 10 minutes … or 2 years… I think I am good enough to join the human race again. My heart rate was at the speed that I could almost count, the sweating started to fade, and my 2 bites where now going to stay where I put it. My newest best friend, the waitress, walked me out, and start laughing and talking like a mile minute, like we have been talking about the something for a long time. I have not a clue of what she was saying, I was still kind of out of it BIG TIME.  But, I just about fell over when she gave me a hug, and said, “its been so great chatting with you again"  HUH?

I Get back to the table where my friend asked me. … Do you know her?.........Ummm yah. (duh) Now what…

I did not have to think much beyond that because things started to change. And not for the best…. OMG the smell of the food. Oh shi*……not again….  So just as I start to get up and run my newest best friend shows up all sweet and smiles says…..let me get you something new since I kept you for so long talking." OMG! I love this lady….So I tell her,,, “ohh just put that in a box, we need to get going anyway……. So she did….I tell ya…$50 tip would not be enough for her.

So my friend and I walked out and just as we got to my jeep he says……….What made you dump??? WTF!!!!!!
How did you know???????
His sister and a friend of her both are RNY’s He figured it was either that or I was pregnant. Oh hell-o Noo!!!!

So I told him all, and we had a good laugh. I promised him I would bring my before and after picture next time.

After he left and I went back in and gave my newest best friend a hug and a HUGH thank you!   What a kind lady, a rare jewel in this world. Fast thinking, and she made me feel better just by talking to me and making me laugh.  

OK stop laughing!! I know its funny, but gosh….

Lu, I hope you let that restaurant manager know how great their waitress was!  You don't have to go into a whole lot of detail, just that she went over and beyond her duties and how much you appreciated the extra care.

And the new dinner friend?  Sounds like a keeper to me!  My one and only time to dump was in public, at a restaurant and 25 minutes away from home.  I hope you do have another chance to see him...he sounds like a nice guy. ^_^

OMG! I didn't even thing to talk to managers. I will do that today. (or monday since to today sunday) She is a true angel. Makes me want to send her a christmas gift now. LOL

He seems very nice and understanding. Do know about a keeper yet.

After a 4 hours nap, life was back to normal. I had the bake chicken breast. So no share why I dumped, but one never knows what is going on in the belly.

OMG...I hate when that happens! Good to know the waitresses! And isn't it funny that your friend already KNEW what was going on. Pretty funny.

I still dont know what hit me wrong, I had chicken salad, with light ranch on the side. Never has it gotten me before....

OMG, what a way to have a date!  LOL.  Sounds like an America's funniest video's segment!  Not that it was fun for you at the time, but the fact that he knew the whole time.
