Welcome to the boards. Congratulations on your surgery and for the weight loss you have had so far.

Since you are early out I would not worry to much on getting in all your protein and water just do the best you can. The further out you get the more you can consume.

Good luck and best wishes to you.

Congrats on the 37 pounds lost!!

I had surgery on the 28th of April and really am not tired anymore like I was right after surgery.  It gets better....but then you are busy taking care of a little one.

Hi Sue,

Congrats on your surgery and weight loss so far!  The fatigue is the worst in the first few months for sure.  Hang in there and take as good care of yourself as you possibly can.  It can be a challenge to get in your protein and water during the early months too.  Don't stress yourself out about it - but keep plugging away.  You'll likely find as the weeks go by that you are finally getting the appropriate levels in.

Take care,

Cathy C.

Hello and Welcome to the OH Cali Board.  Congrats on your wls journey.  First of all just make sure you are taking all your vitamins including the daily multi-vitamin, sublingual b-12, and all the other meds that your surgeon and/or medical office discussed with you.  It is very important that you get your protein in so that you have the energy to take care of yourself as well as your little one.  Try various protein drinks until you find one that works for you.  You should be able to get more protein and water down as time goes on.  Wishing you continued weight loss and more energy.

Welcome!  You have found the best place in the world to get support, encouragment and advice on WLS.  I'm just over 3mos out and I still get tired by day's end.  During the day I have more energy than I use to carrying 70+lbs around, but by the time I get home from work, I'm ready for a nap. I 'gave up' trying to force 60oz of water down..it just ain't gonna happen..probably will reach that point down the road but for now, I just drink as often as I can and don't worry about quantity.  I agree with Terry...get those vitamins in!  You've got your hands full with a 9mo old, especially when I expect he is crawling all over the place and maybe trying to stand and take steps?  Try to take a nap when he does, even if you only get 30-45minutes in. It will help tremendously.
Again, Welcome and come back often...post when you get a  chance...we are like a huge extended family...we care about everyone! ^_^
