Yup, but it's my hubby and we all know how good a care men take of us lol and he works 7 days a week.
It started with my mommy wanting to take care of me and she lives here by Rhonda, so they are sharing in the taking care of me. I love it here at Rhonda's and I wanted my daughter to experience life here at Rhonda's for a week. Honestly I am doing soooo much better than I expected to be, but it is fun to be pampered once in awhile and a good excuse for a "vacation" from home!!!

My husband took very good care of me when I had all my surgeries. Plus most doctors want you to be close to them in case of events happening....doctors must do it different now days...

I'm trying to recover from the funnest weekend in some time. Friday I had off and we were invited to a barbeque and fireworks showing in Moorpark..Friends have a balcony where we sat and sipped margaritas (for me, just one, a light one) and watched the show. Consequently we didn't get home till midnight. Saturday we had a barbeque of our own to prepare for...it was a hectic day and I still managed to get an hours nap in..Then back at it again till 9:30 pm..I'm draggin ass this morning.

I'm thinking church, breakfast and a tiny bit of shopping to replace stuff that I ran us out of last night and home for a nap under the swamp cooler. The house is still clean from the cleaning I did and the party wasn't destructive (they have been in recent years. LOL) so I can nap again and maybe be more my self before the sun comes up on Monday..

Hope you all had a nice 4th of July.  Chris, I agree with Rhonda, be sure you take care of yourself!  So much going on for you right now.  Janine, I cannot see your avatar either, hmmm.  Sounds like you had a great 4th.  Miss Rhonda, I am sure Becky is so looking forward to getting out of that hospital and spending some quality time with you.  You are such a dear to take care of her.  Be sure you take care of yourself too!  Lu, I hope you get some quality nap time in today.  Your "not Wow" moment was I'm sure not fun for you, but it also shows what nice people are out there.

Sad not to see your smiling avatar,  Janine.  Strange things seem to be happening to people's accounts around here.  Hope there isn't a devil in our midst!  I'd be LOST without my trusty little laptop and my new-found friends here!

Sounds like everyone had a good fourth.  So glad to hear and of your stories.  I'm tired from mine, but it was fun (and kept me busy!).  Everyone seemed to appreciate all the work I put into it.  My family and friends are dear to me.

Rhonda you sound like a very special and loving person to take care of as many people as you do, including Becky!  You must have a big heart to give out all that lovin'.  Just make sure you have enough left for YOU!

Good Morning Janine and Cali Crew!

Sounds like everybody had a nice, although, busy 4th of July. That is good. I stayed home as hubby had to work the swing shift yesterday. Thats ok, though. I love when they pay him time and a half!  My and my "furry" kids just hung out and I got some cleaning done.

I hope everybody catches up on their rest today. Have a fantastic Sunday. Enjoy! And remember-- never have regrets. You did what you did because you wanted to do it at that moment in your life. You can't change it now, accept it and move on. A lesson, we should all learn. I know I am learning it..... the hard way.

So glad to hear the 4th was enjoyed by all.  Ron's Dad seems to be resting comfortable, so thanks for all the good thoughts and prayers.

We had a blast last evening, the picnic was great, and so much fun to play the concert and then play while fireworks are popping, something very patriotic about it.  While I couldn't see the fireworks (except from an occasional reflection into the plexiglass that covers my music) everyone told me that they were great.  I think what I enjoy the most is after the thing ends, and we're walking out, I hear people humming or singing the music we were playing.  I feel that means we touched their hearts and to me that's what playing music is all about.

So today, looks like I'm taking my step-mom home to SF and then coming by the hospital to see Ron's Dad.

I pray that I will hear something positive about that job early next week.

Well, my 4th didn't go anything like I had planned, but still turned out wonderful.  Lon is still putting his new computer together so it was impossible to move him off his chair (even tho he said he 'would be ready in a minute'..NOT! LOL)  So I was a good girl and worked on getting the new avatar sized and up on the boards, even tho I'm not exactly happy with the way the sizing distorts my face....I'm not thin!!  It 'stretches' it to be too long and makes it look skinnier than I really am...any suggestions anyone?

Anyway, my day turned out better cus my granddaughter surprised me with a visit.  A long story but we haven't been able to see each other for almost 2 years...she's now 15, almost 16, and we've always had a close relationship.  I am so happy to see her acting and talking like a typical teenager...her home cir****tances haven't always made it easy for her.  She brought a girlfriend with her and we had the neatest time together...I love talking to young people...their views are so interesting.

Got up early this morning to watch the Men's Singles Finals at Wimbleton...Roger Federer won his 15th Grand Slam. What an amazing final...Roger Federer and Andy Roddick went 30 games in the last set..Roger finally winning 16-14.  They played over 65 games in 5 sets...playing over 4hours!  Talk about being in shape!

Today is whatever it turns out to be. A nap sounds good LOL  Guess if I get up off this chair, I might find motivation to go for a scooter ride. Be good to yourselves and enjoy your day.
