Good Tuesday Morning

good morning Cali people,

So Tuesday's here, and traffic wasn't too bad coming to work today.  I work about a mile from the Staples Center, so I'm glad that I'm off the streets before it gets too hectic.  Hopefully everyone goes home right after the ceremony, so it doesn't disrupty my drive home.....lol.  Is that just wishful thinking?  well, I hope everyone has a great day, and I'll catch ya later.

I am back at work now after a long weekend with good girlfriends and my 30 year class reunion.  I will post more info about that in a bit as well as a link to photos when I get it together.

I'm tired.  Between the weekend and Joe being home and me having to do everything and fetch a lot of things, I'm beat.  He is learning however to ask me to get or do something while I am up as once I sit down, I am down for 15 minutes max.  He has this wonderful habit of waiting for me to sit down before he asked for something (water, milk, juice, snack, shoes, socks etc) and I finally got to the point where I told him he had to wait.

Off to work I go.......

Welcome back again . . . OK . . . I have to admit I missed what happened to Joe . . .I know he is down . . . but I don't know why . . . hope he heals quickly!

He's 43 and abused his body horribly over the years.  One of the consequences to playing that hard is things wear out.  He had a 1/2 knee replacement on his right knee.  1/2 of it was bone-on-bone and totally worn out.  The doc said he had no idea how Joe was still walking on that knee it was that painful.  So, they replaced 1/2 his knee and it will (or should) last him the rest of his life.  Hopefully.

Oh wow . . . I can sympathize with that pain . . . because I have that in both my hips with the bone on bone from being FAT for 900 years . . . ughhhh . . . that's why I can't walk the whole 3Day . . . Sure hope he is up and around soon . . . and you take care too!

Happy Tuesday to all.. the week is on it's way.. 3 more days until the weekend. I can't wait. We are taking a small weekend get away to Palm Springs to my parents time share. I am really looking forward to a break away. Need a break after graduation, Son totaling his car (luckily he is just fine) and husband loosing his job.

He is meeting with someone this morning for a possible job, it's a 4 month project but that is certainly better than nothing at all..

Chris, keeping your DIL in my thoughts and prayers for sure.  Rhonda, you and Becky are such a hoot, you and your Depends LOL

Update on the job interview:  I called SFUSD and spoke to the HR analyst handling the job and left a voice mail for her asking her what was happening.  She called shortly thereafter and said that the hiring manager had not made a final decision prior to going on vacation for two weeks, and I am still a viable candidate for the job.  So, this is truly a lesson in patience and perserverance!  I will be sending out more resumes though as I cannot put all my eggs in one basket that's for sure.

Yesterday, I took my step mom home to SF and then came home.  In the afternoon, Ron and his Mom and I went and toured three convelescent hospitals as Ron's Dad, Bert will probably be released from the hospital either next week or the week after into a skilled nursing facility/rehab.  We did find one that would be acceptable for him to go to and they look like they have their stuff together.  Nice, clean, well staffed and our goals are in line with theirs.

Today, no major plans.  I am hoping to go to Fry's and get some software for my computer, but I'll see if the big guy wants to.

GASP!  THAT is SOOO unfair!! ( I know I know, who ever said life was fair :-(   I was so hoping you would get good news, Barb, about the job.  It sure does seem a lesson in patience.  I'm praying for you!  Don't know, tho, if I can keep my toes and eyes crossed for 2 weeks! LOL  but I'm thinking of you ^_^
