My dad is 79 and has prostate cancer.  He had the radiation for 3-4 months and is doing very well.  Wishing you the best.

It sure is good C'ING LESS OF ME!

We could learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp, some are pretty,
some are dull, some have weird names,
& all are different colors....but they

ALL exist very nicely in the same box.

Mine isn't quite that old but he's had the cancer for a while. Seems like at least three years...I know he had the diagnosis a LONG time before my WLS in 2006. We nearly lost him to an aneurism..

He had a heart attack at 49 years old. Then they found an enlarge prostate when he was...I gotta think 70. When they did the scan for that, they found the aneurism and had to operate on that first but before that could be done he had to have cardiac clearance. To clear that, they had to do a double bypass on his heart...For about three months it was in and out of the hospital. I waited with my step mom that whole time, in the hall, visiting each and every day if I could..When they finally did the aneurism surgery, they did a biopsy of the prostate and when the results came back that it was cancer...I was floored! I guess he just has to have "everything!"

So now after the radiation and then they removed the prostate and all of that...it's still not working. Sister says he looks bad, which is cryptic at best. I'm trying my best to reserve judgement until I see him. He's diabetic, high blood pressure, heart disease and prostate cancer. I imagine he is hanging on by a thread but I still want to wait till I see him. He's 76 now.
Yes, RNY worked for me but it also requires a lot of work from me!
