It's Really Happening!!!

First of all, I would just like to say hello to everyone on the board.  My name is Corinna and I have posted before but it was a few months back when I first began the process.  Well it's finally here, I have been approved and scheduled for surgery...AUGUST 3...that is the day my life will change!  I am so excited and kind of shocked.  I totally thought that I would be the one person to get denied for whatever reason.  I got approved on July 1, have my EKG & Stress Test on the 13th, my Pre-Surgical Planning Meeting on the 16th and start my 2 week liquid diet on the 20th...phew! 

Although I haven't posted much I do check the board quite often.  You women (and men) are such an inspiration.  I hope to become an inspiration to someone one day soon.

Thanks for reading...I'm super excited and would love to hear words of advice, encouragement of even just some handy tips from any of you.

Whoo hoo! Congratulations, Im really excited for you.  Im on week one liquid diet and surgery scheduled for the 16th :)  We'll do it together!!!  Yay!

I am really so excited for both of you.  You're going to love the journey you are both about to begin.  We're here to help support you in any way we can.  Remember as you read blogs that EVERY surgeon and his/her protocol is different, so please remember to follow your surgeon's recommendations for max results for you.

We're warming up the losers bench for you both and will be scooting on over to have you join us soon.

You'll both be in my thoughts and prayers for uneventful surgeries and speedy recoveries.

Put your seatbelt on darlin because WLS is a heck of a ride and what a wonderful thing to do for yourself!! For me it has really made my relationship with food so very different and for once I AM IN CONTROL!!

Congrats to both of you for having sugery dates.  It's exciting and scary at the same time.  During this time, say goodbye to your old friend food.  Find other things you like to do with your hands other than eat.  Now that I am 6 weeks out, I wish I had spent more time figuring out what I could do with my hands when I want to eat.  It's going to be an adventure!!!
