Hello,

I've been told over the phone that my insurance company does not cover any weight loss surgeries under any cir****tances. I know there must be an appeal process - those of you who are the Gurus, any advice? What should my next step be?

Heck - what should my first step be? I can't even find an in-network provider to consult about my issues - I had hoped to see Dr. Quilici, but he's out of network.

Any help would be appreciated.

Who told you that? Was it the insurance or human resources person at work? If it was not one of these you need to check further. Log on to their site and read the summary of your plan. I have a different BXBS PPO. I have coverage but have to jump through a lot of hoops and I have been denied 3 times BUT it is a benefit worth fighting for. Do your homework before pursuing other options. Good Luck!
