Happy TGIF Cali
I have a full weekend planned. I want to go out to dinner with my sister and brother in law for my three year surgiversary...tomorrow night. Three years ago today I was excited/scared/anticipating my journey...wow...so much has changed! I've found strength I never knew I had but always suspected..
Then I have an "appointment" to see my dad. He's not doing well. EXACTLY why I had the surgery. He's got heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer. He's not obese either but I'm hoping my sidestepping all those things (other than the cancer) can extend my life past his 76 years so far...but then also, I"m trying to keep a positive attitude until I see how bad or how good he's doing...Still hopeful.
Other than that, I'm picking up rocks and moving them to a spot in my yard where they'll be "pretty". LOL. My son says "Yeah, um, it sounds like alot of fun but ... I think I'll pass." LOL.
Before Surgery: 214
Highest Weight: 240
Now: 125.6
Goal: 130
I am pooped today. Once again Becky and her escapades you know. All I want is rest and this woman wants to have this party and we did, gotta say what a great bunch we had and , wonderful it was that everyone was there for the burning of the ugly shirt ceromony. (for those of you that were not fortunate enough to be here, ask Becky to show you the ashes) lol. Thanks everyone who came and spent one of the best afternoons I have had in years. It is such a joy to be around such loving and kind people. Well after the gal pals left, we needed to walk one of the gals home. 2 miles each way. My son took his swords to protect us from stray dogs. Becky came too! (on scooter, no walking for her) she thought she Darrenl Earnhart racing the damn thing in circles, popping wheeleees and spining the tires, it was a site to be seen. I can't move today as my sides ache from all the laughter. I gotta say we had to get the depends out not only for Becky but for me and a few others. We now are all going to carry them in our purses just in case. Well gotta go and make some breakfast or watch someone else make breakfast, as I am not cooking another thing, promise.

Yesterday was the finish of my first full week of my summer class that is on campus (I am also taking an online class). Good news, is that I had absolutely ZERO panic attacks, either while at school, or at home stressing about the homework load!! That is HUGE for me!
Not sure what is going on this weekend - we were supposed to go on a tour of Fort Irwin outside Barstow, but haven't heard back from the lady organizing it; there is a pet adoption fair in Fountain Valley tomorrow that we may get to; of course there is the obligatory trip to Costco, and then on Sunday we're heading out with people from the hubby's work to an Angels game. And, in the middle of all this, I get to work on homework.
I am super bummed that I had to miss Miss Becky's party at Rhondas. Do ya'll have photos??
Happy surgiversary to all who are celebrating, I just cleared my 6 month and am SOOOO happy with the results thus far.
This weekend, well we will go out to dinner tonight, remember I don't cook on Friday nites, that's the rule! We have been organizing and redoing our "dot-com" room aka the office, and I am getting Ron to get rid of computers we've had since a gazillion years ago!
Not too much else planned, I'm sure there will be shopping in there somewhere.
Hope everyone has a great day and a wonderful weekend ahead.
Hugs,
Barb
