Support system
Well, this "coach" made it fun. The music was great, the encouragement was there, the coaching was there, It was wonderful! So many of you here on this board I feel are #1 coaches! You show support, you empathize, you dance with us, and you always have a hug or shoulder for us. And when needed you even have tough love. All on this board, all without meeting us. You accept us for who we are inside, and who we can become on the outside. You see our hearts.
Even though I have been coming on here since December, I haven't come out of my shell until recently (thanks again to my coach and angel, Miss Rhonda and Miss Becky), and because I still don't have a surgery date, I still consider myself a newbie. I know we have had quite a few newbies show themselves on the board lately and I am so happy. Newbies, I would advise you ask for advice as much as possible. And step out of your boxes and comfort zones. I would have quit a long time ago, if it hadn't been for the support and advice I have recieved from a lot of the people on this board. Just to let you know, I am not a quitter, by any means. I have been known to be too focused on finishing what I start. Thats a nice way to put it. Lol!
People that I have come to know on here and some that I have had the pleasure to meet are special to me. I regard them as friends. I am so wonderfully lucky and blessed to have all of you in my life.
All of you that have ever responded to a post that I have done or that I have had the opportunity to speak with, THANK YOU! You have impacted my life in ways I could have never imagined a year ago. I only wish as I start my journey with the surgery, that some day I may be able to pay it foward.
Don't ever think when you answer someones post, that you don't have an impact on that person, because you do. And never, not answer or post, because you think its insignificant or maybe somebody else will answer. You may have the point of view that person needs. You are all important and you do make a difference. You have done so in my life.
Thank You again and again, my friends.
Hugs, love, & friendship,
Michelle T.
Thanks for making me and Becky cry! Now we are not coming to pick you up, you are going to have to walk over here in the heat. Your have to get dripply just like you made us do! So there to you.
What you say is true. People need to step up and ask questions and get out of the box. It so helps when the more experienced people share positive and supportive advice. The best advice givers do it with love and kindness and they remember where they come from. And there are many on this board.
Doesn't if feel like a great big hug from some? Those are the special ones and those are the ones I seek out and who I aspire to be.
So everyone step outside the box today, that is the challange then come back later and post it! I would love to hear all about it as I am sure Michelle and many others would also.
Rhonda
P.S. let us eat our lunch and we shall come and get you.
Michelle T.
Barb,
Thank you so much for the invitation. I may just take you up on it one day. Let me get my surgery out of the way first. You do know you are one of the #1 coaches I was speaking of, right? I love that you read and comment on nearly all the posts. You are very special. And yes, Rhonda has told me what a gem you and many of the other Nor Cal ladies are.
Hugs right back to you,
Michelle T.
