Well today is my mothers birthday and where I am glad she made it to 61 her road has been hard and without going into details she isnt well...So i will be spending the day with her. Wish me and my nerves luck lol.

yep sure is gonna be another hot one out there just remember to drink those fluids and stay hydrated.

I had a great weekend....went to a party in Torrance on Sat evening then up early on Sunday and took a day trip down to San Diego....Dave and I walked all over Old Town - yep covered the whole thing more than once I think...and it still ceases to amaze me how I can walk and walk and walk and not have to sit and rest.  I told Dave that 2 years ago I would not have been able to do this at all...no way...especially inthat heat...

It was a great day and I got some cute things....Dave bought me this little statue of an old woman with packages and shopping bags that says at the bottom "Shopping is all the exercise she needs"  I mean is that me or what?  Yep to a T.

Anyway today is nails and toes day then a little running around.  Then this afternoon I am off to the baseball field to watch Daves team play the first All Star game for COlt baseball...should be fun - but hot...

HOpe everyone is doing well and staying cool.  I am not around as much as I am so busy but I do try to keep up on whats happenin around here.  I never would have made it this far in my journey without all of the support from my OH buds.

Hell I am tired and out of breath just from listening to your weekend.  You know what I was doing all weekend.  At least it has been cool in the house, and even upstairs. 

Miss Jean, you do not have to be around here for you to be my friend.  I love your input when you do post, but honey, you now have a life and a wonderful man in it.  I do not have to talk to you everyday, all the time, I love you and we will be BFF's forever.  You, and so many others have shown so much love to me, I cannot believe it, I can't even name everyone, U, Rhonda,  my other BFF Lisa, Rhonda, Becky, and a few more.  Gus, Anna, they are not around alot, but they are wonderful loving and kind people.  So go and have your life, we will always be here.

Good morning Chris and Cali!

Angels won yesterday!! Wohoo! I love going to baseball games. Yesterday was especially cool, because unbeknownst to me, my hubby went in with a few people from work and they got a suite!! It was so beautiful! And everyone knew what was going on, except for me. I knew we were going to an Angels game, so I got my shirt at Costco the other day, but I had no idea where we were going to be sitting. A few years ago, J and I had a 20-pack Season Tickets thing, and we sat in the $5 section. That was so much fun - out in right field! And there were a lot of home run**** out there! But, who can complain abou****ching baseball from a suite? Wow....

Today I have the start of my second week of Astronomy. We have a mid term tomorrow, so I'm trying to study (but OH distracted me!!)

It's gonna be a warm one up here as well.  So far, just trying to finish up cleaning out our "Dot Com" room, I have to clean out my drawer of stuff.  Paperwork that I have been collecting for what seems life centuries.  The shredder will be working overtime.

I will peruse the job websites and send out some resumes as well.  I gotta keep movin' forward even though the SFUSD job remains in limbo until next week., oh well.

Morning everyone!

Today hopefully is a day of lunch and shopping with my oldest daughter.  My Dave has the day off and I thought I'd give him the run of the house and remote, lol!  So hopefully in a little while I will text her and see if she is available.  Otherwise, I may have to just solo.  Hmmm left to my own devices in a mall.  Sounds like a recipe for disaster!

Good Morning Everyone,

Beautiful morning here so far, I should be sitting outside, drinking a coffee, but I have a appointment with my trainer soon. That will have to wait till I get back from the gym. This should be interesting, I haven't seen my trainer in 2 weeks. I am not going to be able to move tomorrow. I guess its a good thing I have to work the next 3 days. I will be able to work out all the stiffness. Not much going on around here for a Monday morning. I hope y'all have a great day.

I blew through my surgiversary busy as a bee.  We’ve been out fishing a lot, playing with a ship plotting program, at a neighbor's, that shows where all ships over a certain size are (http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/#), and dealing with hubby's medical issues.

After 2 months in the 160s I finally broke through to 159.6 today!  Woohooo!  I went back to basics and am able to exercise again.  It was a royal pain with my knee out so I’m happy to have it working again.
High:      330.0   -170.4
Consult:  282.8   -121.5
Surgery:  258.7   - 99.1

B Protein shake with 1.5 scoops protein powder, Hood Calorie countdown milk (Thank you Raley’s for carying Hood!  The chocolate is awesome)
L Shrimp, chream cheese and salsa
S low carb brownie muffin (recipe below)
D Protein shake and Flax-z-snax blueberry hot cereal
S 2 squares SF Guilain milk chocolate

Walked to the bluff and back for 2.05 miles.

My annual visit with Dr J is the 7/24.  I’m ready for that and anything else that comes my way.  I hope your journey is/has been as exciting and rewarding as mine. :-)

Brownie Muffin (2 servings)

1/4c almond meal
1 T ground flax seed
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla
1 heaping tbsp pure cocoa powder
1/4c cream
2 T SF Davinci Caramel syrup

Mix dry ingredients.  Mix wet ingredients. Combine both in a large bowl.
Cover with plastic wrap, slit top, nuke for 86 seconds.
Protein 8.4, Calories 183, Fat 15, Carbs 7, Fiber 3.5, Net Carbs 3.55

Thanks Janine, and on your surgiversary as well!  I remember well how you made me feel welcome my first day here.  You are a woman of remarkable energy to keep up with all of us.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.  I'm reading back slowly.  I've missed a couple of weeks.
